As good as Prince has played, he's not the first great halfback to come in second. Stuart was picked over Langer several times.

Thurston has been exceptional IMO. Played last week with the flu and was the best on the field. Combination is critical in these games particularly in the halves. And Lockyer and Thurston have it. Lockyer and Prince don't.

Laffranchi and Anasta should have been in the Australian team over Lockyer and Hoffman IMO.

How on earth Hodgson, Delaney and Rooney beat out Lawrence, Jennings and Grothe is unbelievable. Hoffman should be playing for City over Sutton, with Boof in the Aussie team, and Lewis is only there because Watmough is injured. Like wise for Hughes with Farah injured. Cuthbertson i rate over Gibbs too.

For Country, i'd replace the old fogie backrow with Sims, Creagh and Paterson, all big, young and raw. With Boof in the test team, i'd bring in Luke Douglas. Also, i'd bring in Purtell for fat pig Lyon, move Monas to centre.

Lockyer has been injured. Prince > Thurston too.

Douglas, Sims, Creagh and Paterson were all ripped off from that Country pack, and that City backline is disgraceful, Delaney, Rooney and Hodgson WTF.

Where's the Group player...??

Wasn't there some anouncement that there was going to be a genuine Group Comps player to be chosen in the Country Team..??

Was that just Centenary dribble made by Laurie Daley at the time...??

Were the fans supposed to just 'forget' about it come team selection time..??

Rooney over Jennings is a travesty, how he got picked is a mystery, guy shouldn't even be in our first grade squad.

u have got to be kidding me if you think Lawrence has been better than Hodgson

Hodgson has been tigers 2nd best player week in week out i dont care if u dont rate him tigers fans do and so does sheens and he is more than capable of out performing stewart

Lawrence cant even defend at club level how the hell is he gonna be able to at rep level :x

oh and dont get me started on the joke of a player name Grothe who most parra fans wanted dropped

As bad as Grothe has been, he is >>>>> ROONEY.

As for Lawrence, the point is there is NO chance of Hodgson making NSW, but there is a substantial chance that Lawrence, who is young and has raw talent, will get a go.

CvC should be for young players. Kids like Creagh, Sims, Paterson missing out in that Country backrow is a disgrace. Purtell has been in great form yet misses out for Jamie Lyon who has proven himself with an average season last year, and a poor Origin performance.

Jennings & Lawrence have WAY more talent than Hodgson, Rooney, Delaney. Gibbs is a Sheens favourite, but Adam Cuthbertson has ten times the talent.

Campbell is too old IMO but if they were to use him i'd have him on the bench for Country instead of Finch, & what has Merritt done this season to warrant any selection?

By the way, i know Bryce Gibbs is City, but what about Keith Galloway, Michael Greenfield or Josh Cordoba? They are all young and must be pushing for King's prop spot.

what have galloway and cordoba done to oust the inform king? greenfield perhaps, but not at kings expense, both could make the side

douglas can consider himself very unlucky i think, perhaps lawrence should have got a run but not a definite, i was surprised at hughes but i guess they had no one else to pick if farah is injured, lewis in the backrow? surely there are natural backrowers who are playing well enough to get picked?, and ordord should have been picked somewhere, he has been in great form recently I think he was left out becasue of the big push for the young players whihc is a little unfair....i tihnk city will get axed for the record............and finally brent kite picked for Australia in the starting side is a MASSIVE stretch, im a manly supporter and he hasnt stood out for me this season, laffranchi should have gotten a place somewhere definitely at his expense id say, move mason from bench to front row and laffranchi on the bench

hodgson is not better than stewart in any facet excpet maybe toughness, and he wont outperform stewart. stewart is only playing this game because of a player in crazy form getting picked ahead of him (so i find it hard to see why slater was 'certain' of his spot because of his form and prince was not, and prince has been in better form than thurston)

country will win by 40

How COrey Hughes can make any rep team is beyond me, I know city don't have alot of options at hooker but I would've picked De Gois, Nadira, Keating, ahead of hughes, deadset i would've picked anyone who qualified for city who can play dummy half over hughes

Try assists????? line break assists??????? which he is top 5 in the league in
posional play as well

i guess you dont relize how much work hodgson does on the field unless your a tigers fans cause at the end of the day hes the one setting up 70% of the tigers try but hey i guess hes crap
