Ryles has had enough shockers for NSW to convince me he isn't reliable enough. Kite, O'Donnell & Hindmarsh, and up until this season Ryan, seem to almost always be instant selections. None of them have the form warranting nay sort of selection for rep footy. If you are going to select Hindmarsh, may as well select Fitzgibbon, Menzies, Ben Kennedy, Bryan Fletcher and Luke Ricketson. Bring the whole form team of 2002/2003 back.

The only older forwards from NSW warranting selection on form are Bailey, Mason, O'Meley (for all his criticism he is still making 125 metres a game average), Laffranchi, Cashmere and Cross. The rest are the young NSW forwards we should be focusing on, who are:

Luke Douglas
Anthony Watmough
Greg Bird
Anthony Tupou
Ryan Hoffman
Chris Heighington
Corey Paterson
Ben Creagh
Brett White
Mark Minichiello
Glenn Stewart
Feleti Mateo
Ashton Sims

Mack your a man of thought, if Ryles is picked for NSW I will hand in my supporters beanie. He has been as solid as a marsh mellow for the blues. Maybe we can off load him to QLD as their qualifications rule state that you must live within 30 000km of Brisbane. If he was a wrestler they would call him Powder Puff

I know, yet he will get picked for country as well as Ryan, while Hindmarsh, Simpson, Kite will all be in NSW contention again.

It is terrible, really. Some of these young kids will never get a fair go.

Gallen is one of the players that is certainly not overrated. The bloke's workload is amazing, has a great skill set and has the intimidation factor.

Hoffman runs great angles and can tackle someone in half, but Gallen is more creative and definitely more interesting.

I'd take Gallen basically because chances of a biff increase and some good footy will be played.

Yet you want to pick a hack like O'Meley because he "still averages 125m a game".

What a joke that is, when he has been useless in Origin in recent years and Ryles has played all over him this season.

Ryles. Ave mtrs= 136.3. Ave tackles= 29. Ave missed tackles= 2
O'Meley. Ave mtrs= 115.8. Ave tackles = 13.4. Ave missed tackles = 2.

Bailey has been sh*thouse in Origin in recent years and Ryles has been better than him this season, yet you want to pick Bailey for Australia first week back from injury.

But that's OK, you write off Ryles because of something that happened four years ago.

I agree. Stupid to think of O'Meley based on stats alone when Ryles clearly has better stats...Oh btw Ryles plays more minutes (56/game on average) which is much more than O'Meley's ~40 minutes/game.

Monaghan and Carney should feature for country
it wont happen but would love to see Joe Picker get a run, he's been tremendous for us this year and is a star of the future. Nigel Plum's form has been ace too but will also not get a look in

Who do you think will be the props picked?

I assume O'Meley for City and White for Country are both shoe-ins considering their recent rep status. But i am more interested in the newer props picked.

Country will go for Cross & Douglas? Maybe Payten, Perry or Poore in the mix somewhere? Ashton Sims has to get the gig as the bench prop/backrow impact man. They are gonna pick Kite again, but jeez he is average.

City have to go for Cashmere on form, and Jason King, though i'm not sure how Bryce Gibbs gets picked, or Joel Clinton, or Jarryd Hickey. For the bench prop/backrow impact man, with Waterhouse & Williams out, i'd have Cuthbertson, huge talent.

I really hope Jennings gets a run for City.

He was absolutely outstanding in that pathetic Penrith team last year and tried his heart out every week. Was Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year.

Was also voted by the NRL players as the Rookie of the Year, but missed out to Folau in the Dally M's.

Would love to see how he goes in the representative arena surrounded by players of quality, which he will get playing for City.

No place for Chris Lawrence ... does this mean he's already a certainty for the NSW team or no chance?

Michael Ennis is the form PLAYER in the competition, not just No. 9 and should have been on the bench for Country. But his time will come next year when Buderus is England.
