Well it is scientifically accurate.

It's only scientifically accurate dependent on what your definition of life is. Some say heartbeat. Some say conception.

I don't much care either way.

Me? I just think it's BS that a woman needs no permission from the father to abort a fetus, but the man has no say in things if she chooses to keep it.

Seems to me that if a woman can physically terminate her parental responsibility, a man should be able to terminate his. Why is he locked in to child support for 18 years when there is an (admittedly trauamatic and not at all easy) out for the other half?

That's not equality IMO.

Condoms, a diaphragm, and abstinence also allow pregnancy to be avoided. So does oral. Oral and abstinence are the only fail proof ones.

Wow, great councillor you must be referring to it as 'killing their children', it's a fertilised egg, not a child.

Sugar coating never helped empower anyone.

and I've told you before,I'm a social worker not a councillor.

I'm not fond of lawyers.

Oh and a fertilised egg is more a zygote. Most people wouldn't call the morning after pill as a termination.

That's the sad side effect of feminism. I'm all for equality and would be beaten within an inch of my life by my sister and mother for arguing a word against women's rights - but it seems that society has gone so far in the other direction as to make it a bad thing for a man to complain about any facet of his lot in society.

He's immediately labelled sexist, chauvanist, or weak.

I have a strong opinion on that matter - Something that I won't discuss on a public forum.

I agree with you in part.
I think there is an anomaly that says that a woman has to bear the full responsibility for terminating a pregnancy yet a decision to adopt must be made by both parents.

seriously though,I'm not a fan of abortion on demand .There are no winners believe me.Women are sold a crook when they are led to believe that a decision to terminate a pregnancy is ,and will have the same impact on them as a decision to take the pill or slip on a condom..
That's not empowerment .It contributes to untold misery for women in the long run that men don't have to endure ( they didn't make the decision).

It's actually stupid to carry them around in your wallet. A lot of guys do it, but it damages the condoms and can lead to holes or breakage.

Much better to just keep them by your bed and take the girl back there.

I said purse Mis.
purses are much less stuffed than men's wallets and have several pockets to hold condoms.

Women should not be encouraged to rely on men to provide the contraception.

Nothing wrong with women carrying them around, I've got no issues with it personally. At least they're playing it safe.

I wouldn't label it any of those.
I'd just say it shows limited thinking .

I can see Mis's point but at the end of the day a man doesn't carry the baby etc.

But yeah, I think if a man is willing to spring for half the costs for the abortion and the women wants to keep it the man shouldn't have to be forced to provide for it.

Jesus, its getting serious in here today. The abortion thing is pretty intense, personally I am of the belief that from conception it is a life. If you cant do the time, dont do the crime. We all know how babies are made. The only circumstance where I could forgive it is in the case of rape. My beliefs are a contributor to the fact that I am 42 with a 26 year old son. It made life a lot harder than it could have been, but I cant imagine changing the decision to go ahead with it.

Anyway, Cliffy go out & get yourself laid tonight & get this thread back on track.

Yeah, I saw you would have been posting at the same time. I have a feeling D10 is also of a similar mindset?
