I didn't say anything in my post that indicated it was directed at you. You mentioned middle age women, and I compared them to wizened old crones.

Not sure what studies you're quoting,but probably the biggest jump in partner numbers is in middle aged women.
My guess is that those women are not admitting to their previous experiences.

Well, in my experience. I've always used one. They're by no means a bullet proof method and people still have to be aware of the ifs/ands or buts regarding such.
