Club jerseys 2008

I live in Campbelltown and the Magpies have a huge following down here and a large junior base full of quality kids coming through. They just don't know how to manage them.

Around here the juniors seem to be affilliated with the Tigers not Magpies.

I was thinking of Jerseys, I would rather see a Western Suburbs and balmain tigers jersey than see a west tigers jersey.

Heres a crazy idea. First the first half of the season they wear a full magpies jersey. No merger crap on it just full Western suburbs magpies.
Than do the same for Balmain in the second half of the season. That would be good for the 100 years thing.
Show the fans of each club what they have been missing out on.

That would just confuse the kids in this area. Look to the future not the past. How about a 1999 Wests Tigers retro jersey.

If you're trying to be pedantic you've gone the right way about it. The above post is who I was replying to. The person in question wrongly assumed that WT played first in 99.

If you want to be particular, why don't the Titans say "Est 2005" ??

Has nothing to do with who I support, more to the fact that I played in that league for many years as did many of my friends and players who are playing in first grade at the current moment.
They were always poor when it come to it's juniors and it's why they end up and taken by other clubs. I can't speak for the Balmain side of things, but I know the magpies was poor when it come to it's junior comp. Little bit of advice for you, if you have no idea what your talking about than stay out of it or you just look like a idiot.

As a self confessed softy for the retro "original" jerseys the above Magpies jersey looks nice but would be perfect if they removed the white sides.

Love the idea of Wests playing in only Wests colours for their home games and hopefully vice versa for the Balmain side.

Keep to the thread.

I'm proud my club has stuck to it's jersey all along and didn't follow fads but now even our jersey is looking worse with subtle changes like black type and numbers on away jerseys and the shi*te on the side of the jersey.

Bring back the white shorts as well I say!

O but I have to say our away Black Rabbit idea is genius!

All of the above. Plus I have many mates who are all Magpies supporters. They couldn't give a toss about Balmain and only wear their Magpie colours.
Those West jersies posted a few posts ago looked great.

Those Wests jerseys looked great in the 1980s and 1990s. And a photographers dream - as shutters were much slower back then. Lucky Col Whelan and co got plenty of opportunity to take their snaps as the wests players were waiting for the opposition to slot their 9th or 10th conversion

People you can count on the fingers of one hand does not equate to "a massive following"...the magpies dont have a massive following, same as balmain.
