Would be very fitting given the year he's had especially how he handled that SOO clusterphuque. Injuries and that disaster didn't dampen his enthusiasm for community work one little bit

GO RONNIE!!!

The fella is still going strong in his convictions.
Great work.

Ronaldo Mulitalo has been unwavering in his support of Stepping Stone House, the organisation assisting young people who are at risk of homelessness.

The recipient of the NRL’s Ken Stephen Medal, awarded to the player judged to have made the most significant impact in the community for the past season, Mulitalo will now ramp up his backing of Stepping Stone House by taking part in Sleep Under the Stars, an event which looks to raise much needed funds to support the valuable service they provide.

On October 15, Mulitalo will be trying to enlist a number of his Sharks NRL teammates to join him, as he takes part in the initiative which has a goal to raise $800,000 to directly help more young people to stay in Stepping Stone House accommodations.

And although with the current circumstances in mind, any support will be done remotely, Stepping Stone House is asking Sharks members and fans to get on board and join Ronaldo in ‘sleeping under the stars’.

The best thing about Sleep Under the Stars is it can take place wherever you are. Sleep on the couch, pitch a tent in the backyard, get the kids together for a camping trip or just jump in a sleeping bag in the back of the ute – where participants “Sleep Under the Stars” is up to them.

When signing up for Sleep Under the Stars 2021, participants will join a community of like-minded individuals, families and businesses raising money for Stepping Stone House and its critical support for youth at risk of homelessness.

By taking part or donating to Sleep Under the Stars, it will help more young people stay at Stepping Stone House and to provide the shelter, care and support they need – and a pathway out of homelessness.

The goal is to raise $800,000, which has the ability to care for 33 at-risk youth for an entire year. Currently, Stepping Stone House are turning away three young people a day due to the impact of COVID on families.

Statistics indicate that 38 per cent of all Australians experiencing homelessness are under the age of 25, a number equating to over 43,000 children and young people. The leading causes of youth homelessness are housing crisis, family violence, family separation and breakdown, with many kids resorting to couch-surfing or living temporarily with other households, while others are forced to live rough on the streets.

Those interested in taking part are encouraged to join others by registering and fundraising, or by making a donation, with any support offered to have a real impact.

Like Ronaldo, the Sharks are in support of these young people who are deserving of help.

The biggest fundraising event of the year for @stepping_stone_house, Sleep Under the Stars 2021 is on Friday, October 15.

I’m tipping Ronnie to go back to back Ken Stephens…..awesome cause although I’m not sure the neighbours would approve of me pitching a tent in the backyard.

The kids helping give away paid scholarships now. Gotta keep him long term, he is just too smart for the others at a similar age.
