Just depends if we end up signing a strong 1/6 to replace Ramsey or Amone if he goes.. and maybe Turner if he goes.. like I feel Avarillo or Taafe would have been perfect.. if Sloane is good enough to beat that player then he deserves it, otherwise he will be the cup fullback and prove himself.

If we dont sign anyone then it is what it is.. but I dont think Lomax will be our fullback, but we could do worse as a backup.. I just dunno how the roster is going to play out yet.. and it might be that we are still looking to recruit into 2024.. grab some players that missed out at other clubs.

I like the idea of Lomax at FB and Sloan possibly to wing.
I think if Ramsey (the forgotten guy) comes back (based on what he displayed at the end of last season), he' ll be our fullback. Sloan is very good in attack but needs to work on his defense. Lomax is just recovering and getting back to his best at his favourite position (we all remember what happened to his game when Hook moved him around).

With the Hook's favourite Mbye gone, and Bud's manager requesting release, we will need a number 14. Whenever Bud played, he looked very good, better than Amone. But in the last 2 years he has spent so much time on sidelines with injuries. It looks to me that his body is not suited for first grade NRL yet and there is lack of interest so far from other NRL clubs. It maybe worthwhile for Bud to move to super league for his own longevity in the game. On the other hand, if he decides to stay as he is signed until the end of 2025, the club must spend time (a year) to condition him for first grade NRL.

Never any doubt in my mind about Zac, even tho he is starved of good posession almost every game Hunt plays. My estimation of the value of Flanagan just plummeted re him wanting Hunt for the next two loooong years. Will cost us livewire local junior Sully and perhaps Sloan and Amone as the three amigos are joined at the hip.

Fox scribes giving Flanagan heavy back slaps for talking Hunt into staying. But for how long, the rest of the season as he wanted an immediate release, or the final two years. Once a whinger always a whinger and Hunt will carry on again once something does not go his way. The club wants stability Flanagan, that is part of your job description, retaining Hunt is destabilising, letting Sully leave is destabilising, ignoring $2m (Hunts wage) worth of recruits is destabilising.
