I am gaining my accreditation for coaching in a few weeks time through Parramatta and have a quick question because i am confused now !

The course is for - Club Coaching Level 1. I have no previous coaching certificates and the like and when i look at the coaching pyramid table..the Club Coaching Level 1 course is the 3rd type of accreditation.

Is anyone else attending this day or can offer some help ?

What is your experience in coaching? I checked out the sites and I get the impression that your 3rd accreditation at level 1 means you qualify for the first 2 combined, ie. coaching experience at U12 as well as 13 plus.

Only helping out mate. I dont have any qualifications. When i applyed for the course and made the people aware of this..they just sent me the details for the course etc so just assumed it was all ok. I just read over it though and am confused now !

From the looks of it you don't need any, ring em and make sure, but from the way I read it as long as you are helping out and assisting you don't need any certificate to do the course as long as you're doing basic coaching if you do this it'll take you further.

Awesome. Thanks for the help. What do the 2 days usually involve ?

basically sitting down through a seminar going through rules and disucssusion on the different types of coaches out there etc. then going outside to run through a series of drills to give you an idea of things you can do with your teams. You get a nice kit with lots of things to help you with your coaching.

thats your basic level 1

You will pretty much be given a run down on how to run training sessions, how to identify players of use to you, they will give you skills to bring the team together (they focus on kids).

They will actually get you all to do a few training drills too, so bring lunch and water.

Try not to get bored, it does drag on a fair bit but just stick it out for the 2 days as much as possible.

Sorry to bring this thread up again - just wondering what food outlets there are around Ringrose park apart from Wenty Leagues..?

Main street of Wenty (Dunmore) 1 minutes drive away has a fair whack of take away food stores... from fast food like Subway and Pizza Hut to a couple of fish and chip places and a cafe.

Few of the Parra blokes who spoke today said that they are "happy" Inu is gone as he got very comfortable and he needs to get uncomfortable to perform. Said he is extremely talented but had alot of distractions at Parramatta and got lazy.

Kearney has been brought in because they think he has abit of Brian Smith in his coaching in regards to a strict style of coaching as well as having that personable approach too. Anderson was very strict and went about it the wrong way and players didnt respond well. One of the first things Kearney has worked on is the marker defence. Last year they were pushing up hard off marker..this year he wants them splitting.
