I'm ok with the new appointments.

Aitkin was a very weak link in the chain, that included Gentle and to a lesser extent Elliott. All had previous dealings with Hook on some level.

They will bring some fresh ideas and some prior knowledge of our juniors. I think Bronx will get the respect of the players that was surely missing from our Koe Cup campaign this year.

Lots of youthful exuberance in the new appointees from 1st grade now down to JF. Unfortunately, we still have the dinosaur leading the way (for the time being), however, I'm confident our next HC will also be of the youngish brigade (pardon the pun!).

I hope it's Hasler we hire tomorrow. From there the club will be in good hands and may even pick up some Manly discards.

I only want our Club to improve its performance on and off the field. If Wolf can improve our defense and bring back the brick wall that Bennett developed, I will be very pleased. Maybe this guy can do the job and I only hope the attacking assistant coach can get us firing as well.

I agree. It is good that a new guy has been appointed to do the communications and media stuff at long last and he has put a lot more info on the website. Once the Salary Cap issues are sorted and known, the "new" signings we land will be interviewed no doubt and then into the season proper there should be more media stuff for us to see, hear and read.

The big issues will of course be with any new signings, new coach, progress of the CHPC, win/lose/draw results throughout the year, injury updates etc. Hopefully much more info than what we got last season.

The interesting thing for me is in the introduction of the assistant coaches Carr & Wolfe , they have been introduced as their roles attack & defence coaches. This really didn’t come out with previous AC’s particularly before Gentle & Head. Are they doing this to take heat off Hook?

obviosuly club wants us to know whos doing what but in the end Hook will be the fallguy or the hero...but i must admit these 2 new guys look capable...especially Wolfe looks like a no nonsence coach...

Any chance we’re one of the two teams talking to Eddie Jones? With not much out there to hopefully replace Griffen next year, maybe a punt on Cheika or Jones is worth it. If you surround them with the right league brains, they’re man management skills could be gold.

If we are after Jones, it would be as coaching director in support for the incoming Dean Young.
