This is going to be fun. Interesting that Oregon and Georgia will have more difficult week two matchups than Boise and ASU.

They need to re-seed after the first round.

No problem with a bye for division winners but from there re-seed.

It is outright unfair the matchups that Oregon and Georgia have.

Should be

Oregon v Arizona State
Georgia v Boise State
Texas v Ohio St
PSU v Notre Dame

They should take it back to a 8 team system.
It ain't going down. After next season it will go to 16 with both the SEC and BIG10 getting 4 automatic bids, you can put the house on it.

BIG12 and ACC will get two and the best group of 5 will get 1. That leaves 5 at large bids.

The problem with the seeding is it is often obvious that a conference winner (eg Boise and Arizona) are way worse than teams below them.
another problem is the bye means you miss out on getting to host a play off game on your campus.
I agree with you that money and the Big 2 conferences will dictate that it goes to 16 teams but it will certainly suck. They will be playing too many games.
If they go to 16 teams they absolutely need to get rid of conference championship games.

They will definitely go but they will be replaced by play in games.

So instead of the SEC championship game, you'll have a play in game between the 4th and 5th ranked team for their final automatic bid because money talks.

Money does talk and I cannot see many people watching those play in games. Not many neutral fans would watch. SEC would need Bama, LSU, Texas or Georgia involved in one to get any eyes at all.

Oklahoma, Florida and Auburn as well...

This year would have been bama v south Carolina

Big 10 would have had Ohio state involved

All 4 teams with the bye lost pretty easily.

They will change things up next season.

OSU would be big favorites from here. They have an unbelievable roster. That freshman WR Smith should be playing in the NFLs pro bowl. Unreal.

Both Oregon and Georgia have a right to be filthy.

The semis should have been quarter finals match ups. Sure, you can argue that both Oregon and Georgia would get rolled in the semis but they deserved the absolute best path possible to the title game.

The Fighting Irish are first through to the National Championship game.
Given all their injuries its a great effort by the team and HC Marcus Freeman who I would think will be in the NFL soon. He has gotten a team of 3 and 4 star players in ahead of a lot of teams full of 5 stars players.

First week of college football and I cannot see Kayo showing one single game. If true I will punt Kayo.

Obviously not a playoff game… but I watched Arch Manning for the first time…

was thinking that kid might need to go get one of those ancestry.com checks done because I don’t think he’s related to his uncles… lol

Then I found out that his Grandfather Archie was an athletic type of QB when he was with the Saints…

looks like that athleticism just straight up skipped a generation… lmfao

interested to see if next year he can develop the other parts of his game like his uncles…

he could be a monster…

Ole miss upsets Georgia

QB Trinidad Chambliss was excellent again has been every time I’ve watched them

Former D2 QB & champion is also a great story

Good to see Indiana doing well, Fernando Mendoza looking like the #1 pick in waiting

7/8 bye teams have been beaten in the 12 team CFP.

Last year was a seeding issue. They probably need to go to home campus quarter finals.

Mendoza looks like one hell of a prospect… I get there’s hesitation due to the system but some of those back shoulder passes are just UNREAL… it doesn’t matter what the f**king system… those are perfection.

please don’t overthink this shit Raiders… take him #1 and pair him with a good coach who can develop him and let him be our QB for the next decade.

Indiana wins its first natty…
Mark Davis, Tom Brady & John Spytek all on the sideline to watch Mendoza up close…

Don’t you assholes f**king dare ‘Raider’ this f**king draft pick!! Mendoza at 1 and then build our line up.

Because I’ve been a Raiders fan for so long I’m seriously scared we will f**k this up…

The Mendoza run for the touchline is going to go in folklore and replayed forever like the Elway helicopter

Dude just wanted it.
