This is going to be fun. Interesting that Oregon and Georgia will have more difficult week two matchups than Boise and ASU.

They need to re-seed after the first round.

No problem with a bye for division winners but from there re-seed.

It is outright unfair the matchups that Oregon and Georgia have.

Should be

Oregon v Arizona State
Georgia v Boise State
Texas v Ohio St
PSU v Notre Dame

They should take it back to a 8 team system.
It ain't going down. After next season it will go to 16 with both the SEC and BIG10 getting 4 automatic bids, you can put the house on it.

BIG12 and ACC will get two and the best group of 5 will get 1. That leaves 5 at large bids.

The problem with the seeding is it is often obvious that a conference winner (eg Boise and Arizona) are way worse than teams below them.
another problem is the bye means you miss out on getting to host a play off game on your campus.
I agree with you that money and the Big 2 conferences will dictate that it goes to 16 teams but it will certainly suck. They will be playing too many games.
If they go to 16 teams they absolutely need to get rid of conference championship games.

They will definitely go but they will be replaced by play in games.

So instead of the SEC championship game, you'll have a play in game between the 4th and 5th ranked team for their final automatic bid because money talks.

Money does talk and I cannot see many people watching those play in games. Not many neutral fans would watch. SEC would need Bama, LSU, Texas or Georgia involved in one to get any eyes at all.

Oklahoma, Florida and Auburn as well...

This year would have been bama v south Carolina

Big 10 would have had Ohio state involved
