These are few i can think of, mostly current ones:

  • scrubs
  • how i met your mother
  • grounded for life
  • drawn together
  • futurama
  • family guy
  • arrested development
  • freaks and geeks
  • simpsons
  • robot chicken
  • everybody loves raymond
  • my wife and kids
  • real stories
  • friends
  • the games
  • my name is earl
  • burn notice (i find it smart and funny, mostly the voice overs)
thats about all i can think of, seinfeld, friends and frasier are classics as well.

Oh and the comedy company & fast forward.

No mention of Green Wing, The Book Club or Garth Merenghi's Dark Place ? ... sad.

Did anyone mention the early 90's Late Show (ABC late Saturday nights) ?

I tried to get into one episode of Green Wing, and just couldn't... perhaps I should have given it more of a chance. Never heard of The Book Club, but Dark Place was fantastic, and I forgot to mention it! It's deliberately supposed to be a really bad 1980's drama, and only shown for the first time after "worst artistic drought in broadcast history".

A few of us have! :) I would love for the ABC to re-screen it, even if it's on ABC2 late one night... it was a cult show for sure.

For those who haven't seen That Mitchell and Webb Look from the UK (they are Mark and Jeremy in the Peep Show), here is something from an absurd recurring sketch based on an imaginary game show called "Numberwang"...

I've been watching some of that Aussie Comedy Gold on the Comedy Channel on Friday nights... The Comedy Company hasn't aged well at all, and Fast Forward is a bit hit and miss too. But it's great that they have been evening up the ledger by showing shows like The Games and We Could Be Heroes.

Green Wing can take a few episodes to get into as several of the jokes reference back to previous episodes/earlier incidents....
worth the effort though if you have the patience

I also forgot to mention Teachers .... another quality and slightly different attempt at comedy.
The Book Club was shown on either UKTV or the Comedy Channel recently... also worth the effort.

I am not sure how much of the Late Show would get made nowadays due to the non PC nature of some of the stuff..
still "Champagne Comedy" though....

Others have also mentioned Scrubs, Trailer Park Boys , Reno 911 and Son of the Beach ...
all quality.
