The Ch9 commentators are pathetic. They play favourites and only see what they want to see.

The no mention of the forward pass in Barretts try was the perfect example. They were all so relieved and excited that Saints had scored that they couldn't bring themselves to question the pass. Gould even said what a great pass it was.

I've heard Gould comment before along the lines of..."who cares if it was a forward pass, it was a great try and deserved the points". Can't recall the game, but you can bet it didn't disadvantage any of has favourites - Roosters, Saints etc.

Sterlo used to be ok, but he has caught the disease and is now just as one eyed as the others.

Exactly not a mention about the foward pass but when barret went down like a sack of sh*t Gould went of his rocker calling for a penalty...

Atmosphere would still exist if they shut up and we just got the noise from the groud. I realise this is a matter of personal taste but, I find them annoying and as has been often said here, biased.

I can't see how their opinions make it more entertaining. The footy is the point, not poor humour and 'in' jokes and jibes between the commentators.

I thought digital television was about choice,,,choice to hear the roar of the crowd, the ref etc etc, but you don't get that with channel nine and probably never will....they pay these commentators alot why would channel nine mute them.

Even Warren Smith, who I actually respect a bit, has been unbearable with his Tigers coming good...I agree Vossy is awesome! Although I think he is a Rabbitoh so if they ever come good...

Even with pay tv, you only really get that option with 1 or 2 games a week, not all of them.

I usually leave it on the ref, you get the banter between players and the ref, and also the the crowd that way.
