its been bugging me

st george deserved to win they were the better side and barret is a good player

however

barret kicks a 40/20 and he is a "genius"

barret takes a silly dive right on his line leaving them a marker short and the ensuing play sees the sharks score and getting back in the game

the commentators

"oh poor barret"

really it was the silliest play of the night

why didnt they comment on how stupid it was?

Didn't comment on the blatant forward pass for Barret's try either...they just seemed to completely ignore it.

IMO their commentary was very poor as it usually is. "Simmons has been improving and improving all year."

Barrett is a genius, he made the big play that turned the game. He was the dragons best player by far. On the commentry well they have there own agendas, Gould and Sterlo are very biased and often only comment on one team. I would love to see a shake up at 9

commentators use critical mass for regurgitating information.
If enough of the others say it, it must be true.
Few will stick their necks out & say, well, Dave Simmons has been getting plenty of wraps this year, but I'm not convinced hes the man to fill David peacheys shoes.
It's all about political correctness.
On the 40/20, it was brilliant. Takes a good kicker to pull such a thing off with such distance.

the 40/20 turned the game.....the 2 fwd passes unsighted or ignored by the ref seeled it!

and as usual the commentators said nothing........I wonder if it had been a Kimmorley pass whether theyd have stunned us by the same non comment on it........me thinks NOT!

Didn't they have that stupid player-cam on him as well? I'm sure they did.

Why don't they ever put it on the toiling front rower who's doing all the work while the homo backs capitalise on it without any gratitude?

league and politics is everywhere, especially the commentary box. Laurie Daley is a braindamaged bloke who co-coaches the Saints, hence he will back them no matter what.Gus is managed by Barrett's manager, hence the loveaffair.Gus hates Opes, hence he hates Kimmorley(thought I hate Opes and I like Kimmorley :>).Even if we had won on Saturday night, I reckon somehow it'd come back to the over-rated ScumGeorge...

I dont blame either winger for the 40/20....it was an excellent kick and not on the last by my recall (could be wrong).

The Ch9 commentators are pathetic. They play favourites and only see what they want to see.

The no mention of the forward pass in Barretts try was the perfect example. They were all so relieved and excited that Saints had scored that they couldn't bring themselves to question the pass. Gould even said what a great pass it was.

I've heard Gould comment before along the lines of..."who cares if it was a forward pass, it was a great try and deserved the points". Can't recall the game, but you can bet it didn't disadvantage any of has favourites - Roosters, Saints etc.

Sterlo used to be ok, but he has caught the disease and is now just as one eyed as the others.

yes i hate commentators.

Mute the best tv invention ever.

Have to agree with you there. I have often wondered what actual purpose these people have. I mean, I can see what you are describing, I am not blind nor an idiot and you opinion is no more valid than any one elses.

Spot on G-miller, they all have alliances which are often hidden. One other thing I really fear and believe affects them is where they have layed their money. They all love a punt and you can always tell when they have had a huge plunge on one team. One guy I wouldn't put in that category is Vossy but the others are driven by the thickness of their wallets. I suspect they put plenty on the Saints minus the 15.5 start and they just could not believe the Sharks kept pace and only lost by six. The disappointment in their voices was obvious towards the end of the game.
