Comfortably beaten by a better team on the day

As my name says its definately true they were way too good for us today.

They have very solid defence and we had alot of chances in their 20 and they just kept defending well but we did have some poor options, rather than kicking into the ingoal and trying to get a dropout we would run the ball on the last tackle.

The video ref was shocking though if Whatuira had have scored it would have been a very different game.

Jeez..From what I seen there were some dodgy ref decisions but you cant run the ball so much on the 6th tackle and get no result
Anyways....WCC means little except in England

yeah but as i have already said else where at least we can except we were beaten by a better team instead of carrying on as with lame excuses like a certain minority of roosters supporters do about the grand final.

The refereeing was a joke, but it is every year over there. If they played here they would by 30 points.Thats why they dont play it here.

That no try for the supposed double movement was hilarious,as soon as it went to the video ref,I knew they would cheat us....as I said, same shit every year.

Every time they did a kick there was 3-4 guys offside, they did it all day and put Whesser under a heap of pressure.Poor old Rycie had a shocker,he couldnt do a thing right and cost your guys dearly IMHO.Missed a tackle that led to a try, wouldnt take the high ball on the full, and when he did got it stolen fro Vanikolo, and droppped the ball three times in the opposition 20.

He had a shocker.Penrith werent even in the game until Ben Ross camer on.He fired up and finally got you guys some field position, but Cambell and Gower did nothing with the ball in hand, and those 5th tackle options were atrocious, they looked second rate.

Thankfully ther panthers looked better and nearly made a game of it,but they were so far behind.Good play from Bradford and the referee and the game was over at half time.

Bad luck Panthers. :?

it seemed to me that penrith might lack a bit of composure without satts
but i think you guys were just outclassed, and wesser has always been suspect under pressure for mine...

How good did the Volcano play!!!!

Satts was at first receiver quite often last season when Penrith were close in the opposition 20, this allowed Gower and Campbell plenty of space to work their magic.

Why does everyone think the Penrith forwards were outclassed? Every set of six they carried us further up the field than the Bradford forwards did for the Bulls only the fatman Anderson did any real damage.

The ref never enforced the markers not being square. This meant Priddus couldn't mak runs from dummy half because he couldn't go anywhere.

Midfield bombing Rhys won't work in the NRL as to do it Bradford made a 'pocket' about 10 metres behind the play for the kicker, meaning the only option is to kick with no possible way to run the ball. This gives time for other players to cover up incase Rhys does make a mistake. The Panthers didn't seem to realise this yesterday though.

I noticed this during the game but I didn't say anything because I wasn't positive. But after watching the replay yesterday I am positive that when Rhys went to take those bombs there were offside players.

well can't change anything.

Bradford nailed us, thats the moral of the story.

we'll bounce back from this and be a better team for it.
