Have any of you heard an apparent common saying and thought, what the f**k is that, never heard that before?

My wife does it all the time, the last 2 that come to mind were "What is this bush week?" and "Green thumb", both times I was like "hu'h?"

Any other sayings you've heard and thought what the hell are they on a about?

I remember listening to Hamish and Andy a while back and they had a segment about people who have been saying common sayings wrong for years, one guy called in and said he thought the saying "I'll offer you an ultimatum" was actually "I'll offer you an old tomato", very funny....

Oh, my mother is great at this one.

She'll say about 3 times a day, "Well, you know the old saying ...."

And then come up with the most random sh*t. Ever.

Like:

- Well, as the old saying goes, you should only use ground pepper for certain meals, and remember to turn on the dishwasher.

- As they always say, iPods are meant for listening to the song once and not always repeating the same song again and again, because that's how you break it. And don't think I'm going to pay to get it repaired!

- You know the old saying, chocolate is bad for you if you have too much of it but I wouldn't be so annoyed if you actually ate more fruit and vegetables and did things like take the rubbish out without being asked.
