Guns N' Roses have added a series of concert dates in December in addition to their already announced headline show at Sydney's Telstra 500 V8 Supercars.

Frontman Axl Rose and band will curiously play additional dates in Townsville and Adelaide with support from heavyweight nu-metal band Korn.

Tour dates:
December 1 - Reid Park, Townsville
December 4 - Telstra 500 V8 Supercars, Sydney Olympic Park
December 7 - Adelaide Entertainment Centre

Tickets for the new shows on sale from Tuesday midday, September 7.

Wicked, now you get two bands that are way past their best for the price of one. I saw the gunners about 3 years ago (mate had a spare free ticket), Sebastian Bach supported, he carved up the stage whilst Guns n Roses were one of the worst performances I've ever seen. They really should have stopped over a decade ago, even 2 decades ago.

Odd pairing.

I don't mind Korn, they take me back to my youth, seen them almost every time they have been here, gives me a chance to act like my 14 year old self every few years.

I believe -and I think I represent the majority of the casual Gunners fans out there when I say this- that the Gunners are Axl Rose, Slash, and the rest of the band (nuffies or otherwise). Take either of Axl or Slash out, and it's not going to be the Gunners.

I'd rather see a Slash show than an Axl-only version of Guns'n'Roses.

I will see Slash at Soundwave... timetable clashes permitting.

Axl made a good move in 2000 when he recruited Josh Freese, who is one of the top 5 drummers I have ever had the privelage of seeing, to play for GNR for a brief spell.

He has left the band and they replaced him with a new bloke

Actually some of they guys currently in GNR are pretty damn talented, unfortuntley the band will never get past the "WHERE'S SLASH!!!!!111" thing. If they came to NZ I'd definitely go see them.

So why'd you call them nuffies?
Plenty of people are quite talented - but that isn't enough alone to make them somebody. GNR could have been one of the great bands - Each of the members contributed to what the band was. Without any of them its not even an imitation.

I know they are not the 'real' GNR, but if you could look past the fact that they are still called that(pretty much for financial reasons really) they are a very good band. Certainly better than most of what is out there today.

Pretty much what flamin said.

You could find literally thousands of extremely talented musicians who have never even gained a music contract of any kind. These guys are obviously good musicians, but compared to the original Guns N Roses, they are nuffies, and will remain so until they can come up with a piece of music that rivals what the original band did.

Perhaps, but axl is a fat prick who can't sing anymore. He is but a shadow of his former self.

Actually if you compare some of his recent performances with his old stuff I'd say he is just as good as he was. Well certainly as good as he was around Illusions period, probably not as good as he was during the Appetite/Lies days. People really just need to get over the name thing, just think of them as a new separate band.

They (well, Axl) obviously don't want to be thought of as a separate band. Otherwise they'd call themselves something different.

well why can't axl?? Call it something else, continuing the name 'GNR' is f**king insulting to those of us who were fans back in their dizzy days.
