It's been confirmed by a Panthers club official over on the official website that there will be a change in the home jersey.

This is how it's been described - "more of [a] change in the use of those colours rather than changing the colours. You'll understand when you see it."

Thank god we were not asked to have that as our full time jersey!!!! Though a one off match with proceeds for charity such as Breast Cancer or something like that, may have gone down very well.

My daughter would have killed for that jersey. She'd wear it non-stop.

Panthers + Pink = heaven as far as she's concerned!

Why for god sakes can't we hold on to a jersey for more than the minimum period as designated by the NRL.

We have actually - we could have changed it this year (it's a 3 year minimum).

I'm a sucker - I'll get the new one. And that's exactly what it's for... marketing so they can make more $$$ off the fans.

I don't think the players themselves would care what jersey they're playing in, to be honest - as long as it has the Panthers logo on it.

I don't care, as long as it has some brown in there. Killenny and I both like the brown.

You'll be disappointed then. If the top statement is true it's a change in the use of the colors not a change in colors. You'll be haning out for the Round 6 Heritage Round to see the brown I dare imagine.

The following links is to a website for French Rugby Club Stade, who were the 2006/2007 champions @ the highest level in French Club Rugby. They are also the club that Gowie made his top level French Rugby debut against at the weekend, where he scored the match-winning (and only) try.

CLICK ON COLLECTION ADIDAS and scroll though the catalogue: Could you imagine playing in their colours every weekend during the season?
HOME JERSEY: http://boutique.stade.fr/boutique/fiche_produit.cfm?type=8&ref=189441&code_lg=lg_fr&pag=1&num=3
AWAY JERSEY: http://boutique.stade.fr/boutique/fiche_produit.cfm?type=8&ref=189493&code_lg=lg_fr&pag=1&num=3

CLICK ON COLLECTION STADE and scroll though the catalogue:
Could you see any bloke wearing the camoflage shirts http://boutique.stade.fr/boutique/fiche_produit.cfm?type=3&ref=SA3042&code_lg=lg_fr&pag=1&num=1
OR the shorts http://boutique.stade.fr/boutique/fiche_produit.cfm?type=3&ref=SAD020_P&code_lg=lg_fr&pag=1&num=1?

Thank god the above (pic posted by MISH) was for charity, though if we played in it during the season as a one off for charity, it'd be alright but if it was permanent, I doubt we would see many wearing it!!!

I got it wrong - Gowie's team played at home against BRIVE, not last year's champions Stade. But I did get it right about the matchwinning try

Girds would be envious to have a stomach like that.

I want the ball and chains attached too. :p
