Nice signing Tigers. This kid seems to give it a crack at every opportunity. It'll be interesting to see who he really is with a bit of consistency on the park.

Yep, a good signing at fullback or a back rower.

if they think he’ll be a half, in the words of Darryl Kerrigan, “tell’em they’re dreaming son, tell’em they’re dreaming.

Sad but inevitable to lose Thompson. He’s hands down the best forward in the northern hemisphere and the natural step for him now is the NRL. Unlike some of the garbage taken by the NRL clubs in recent years (Sarginson, Greenwood and Turner come to mind here), he’s of genuine quality.

Been watching him for a couple of years now in Tests since we (Raiders) bought a whole bunch of other Poms. I remember wishing we'd nabbed him too as he looked your best prop on show for you guys in plenty of games, including Grahame & the Burgii. I think he'll make an impact.

Luke Thompson from St Helens to Canterbury Bulldogs for 2021

Hard working prop, essentially a young James Graham, glad to see a club other than Wigan getting raided for once.

That’s what I thought after watching a brief highlights promo. Did James used to be that mobile and quick though? He’s always looked like a geriatric when he runs, since being in the NRL haha.

Good signing for the dogs. The pack will be very good with his addition and he’ll possibly make up for losing Klemmer. Their big ? is the halves. If one of the kids don’t step up they’ll need to buy a good one to become a finals contender.

Didn’t someone say on rumoured signings that he was going to another NRL club? Doesn’t matter now but he was rumoured to be chased by the dogs for a long time now, and they have finally gotten him.

Bulldogs have usually chosen good UK imports. From memory Jonathan Davies, Gary Connolly, James Graham.

Thompson is definitely quicker than Graham was at Saints.
