Well he couldn't make it to first grade at the Roosters. He could not displace Keary, Walker nor Sandon Smith which is why he left to go to the Warriors. He does have potential, and has flashed it in the lower grades. I suppose its just whether any coach can bring it out.

Didn't he have 2 years to run on his deal in NZ? Seemed odd that he would be granted a release from that to sign a 1 year deal. Surely his release from that original deal would be contingent on him getting a new deal. I don't think the Warriors can wash their hands of this one.

So Warriors say “yep you can have a release for another deal” and let him go of his commitments. Why would Warriors have to care less? They’re not committed to him as a current employee or even as a previous employee if they’ve agreed to part ways.

What a strange situation. Why did it take the Dragons so long to conduct a physical and get the medical clearances?
Cant help but feel that Volkman has been let down by his representation here.

No idea why anyone would think the Warriors are on the hook for anything. He requested a release and it was granted. It's nothing to do with them anymore.

Reports say he got the injury in December while he was at the Warriors. Warriors did not send him for scans to diagnose the injury. My guess is both the Warriors and Volkman and Co tried to pull a swifty on the Dragons here.

Definitely sounds like the old compo special "oh dear I've fallen down and now my knee hurts" * (or a shoulder in this case)
