Danny Buderus had an absolute blinder this year, i have rarely seen a player play with the intensity and commitment that Danny showed this year, especially in the second half of the season. His game against St George at Newcastle put him on a different planet to any other hooker in the game. Not since the great Benny Elias have i seen such brilliance.

Again, congrats Danny.

Yeah,i`ve heard how much harder and tougher the olden day Hookers were.My earliest memories are being in awe of the likes of Tommy Raudonikas and Les Boyd.Not too many players like `em these days unfortunately.

It's hard enough to compare era's in any position, but hooker is probably even harder than most. They are just nothing like the old style rake these days. Scrumaging is as irrelevant now as a kicking game was then. What should be beyond argument though is that Bedsy is the best going around at the moment and it's not because there aren't some good ones about.

Elias was a brilliant player with the style of game at the time. To say Buderus sh't all over him is ridiculous.
