Full time in preliminary final. Newtown defeated St George 38-28 after being down 28-22 with about 10 to go.

Congrats and best of luck in next week's grand final. :thumn

Yeah, basically just reinterating what Willow said, Well Done to the Jets, showed plenty of ticker today.

Good Luck in the GF next week.

Cheers, ;-)

This is one of the strongest Roosters lower grade teams i have seen in a while. 2004, 2005 & now 2006, absolutely brilliant sides. Of course, loads of credit goes to the Jets as well, a brilliant successful merger with my 2nd favourite all time team after the Roosters (Bumper Farrell = god, as long as its not the Luke Covell moniker). Assuming hopefully Tonga is kept next year, the pack will look something like:

8. Danny Williams (no relation to the kinghitter)
9. Heath L'Estrange/George Ndaira
10. Charlie Tonga
11. Mickey Paea
12. Nigel Plummy
13. Mitchell Aubusson

14. Adam Schubert
15. Lopini Paea
16. Shane Shackleton
17. Steve Meredith

With Sa & Nuuausala for depth. Even with the departure of Catic, Rose, Hannant, Hall, Burns, Dumas, Winterstein & Allwood, all very capable forwards, the pack still looks excellent. GO THE JETS!

You might want to brush up a bit on your research. Newtown have been in other grand finals, we actually won grand finals in 1910, 1933 and 1943.

How sweet it is!!!

Lewis what a game!!! But all the boys put in and showed plenty of ticker especially considering the 18th man for the dragons one Shayne Hayne. He is a joke and there are obvious reasons why he is no longer doing first grade

BUT WHAT THE HELL WE"RE IN THE GF!!!

Hope the jersey lasts everyday day at work till next sunday.

Congrats to the boys, to Youngy and the coaching staff, to the club and all that its been through over the years, to the fans who have stuck through the bluebags through thick and thin and especcially to DAVID GALLOP this one's for you....

Hopefully next week when you have two 'out of towners' running around in the big one you might cast your eye over premier league and see where the true heart and soul of rugby league still resides.

GO THE JETS!!!

Congrat's Jets....will definately be tuning in to watch the big one.

My best mate and my brother are both Eels fans....so it would be nice to see the Jets hand the Eels their arse on a platter come next weekend!

My voice was almost gone at halftime of PL but I got a second wind and lasted through to the end of JBC.

All 162 of my streamers were thrown and it will be back to Big W and Kmart for many more.

Thanks for the good wishes everybody, particularly Willow - you are quite gracious and that soft spot you hold for Newtown will certainly expand this week.

With Brisbane playing Melbourne, the hope is that it is easier for the Sydney public (ie. Jets fans) to purchase tickets. I'll be arranging friends to log on to the web and ring through. I am considering sleeping out as well!

If you cannot get tickets, go to the Jets Sports Club where there will be a big do.
