Russell Smith has as much chance of getting the Grand Final as Newcastle have of making it. If he was in contention, he would have refereed a game in the finals series. I thought he may have had Starch-Shirt's (Archer) game in the first week, but I guess he needs more time in the NRL to get that honour.

Mander has been woeful this year. Simpkins had been good until last night, but there's no way he'll get it now.

It shocks me to say this, but Shayne Hayne has actually been really good the last month or so... but we all know what kind of nonsense he can pull.

tbh the refereeing is probably better than ever. Watch old games, there are disgraceful decisions all over the place, most of the time they are not replayed and the commentators and players don't really dwell on it. Same with cricket umpiring.

Parramander's track record refereeing Parra is a bit dodgy, i.e in favour of Parra.

Clark, well as a Saints fan I'd rather see Stevie Wonder there, at least Mr Wonder doesn't have good reason to hate us.

If Saints are in against Parra, Mr Bean or Simpkins (after a week on the mathemagic computer tutor.)

If it's Wests vs Parra, Clark hamstead or Simpkins.

If it's not Parra, then Timmy woo hoo Mander can go for gold!
