It's the sign of a great team when you struggle to pick a man-of-the-match ... and tonight was that night. Cam Smith received the gong, but what a team effort!

Once NSW get Gallen and Hayne back, and stop selecting Pearce, the teams are virtually even. QLD were pushed all the way tonight, and NSW would have won with a little more creativity from their halves. They had alot of field position tonight and couldnt convert.

I think QLD are still a prop short. We struggled to match the go forward of the Blues for large periods tonight, in part because of the defensive work. Its hard to drop anyone after tonights performance, but Hannant should come in for someone next yr.

As a Qlder, this is one of the sweetest series wins for me - because of the closeness of the series, and how we were up against it after game 1. Let the beers flow!

These last couple of years, the series has gone right down to the wire, and as a league fans, we can't ask for more than that.
It's a shame one idiot decided to ruin another epic finish.

Next year, we can look forward to another close, epic series.

NSW had every chance to win it and the 50/50 calls in their favour, but ruined it though poor 5th tackle options and ball control. F**k it is so frustrating...

Great game tonight guys. Your boys were very brave despite the amount of disruptions.

As passionate as we are, we're fortunate enough to support one of the best series in sports and there were 34 young men who did absolutely everything to make their state proud.

I have no excuses. I am not taking anything away from Qld but I am just too frustrated with the Blues right now. Had every chance to win it but threw it away with poor handling and 5th tackle options. I don't know what to think about next years' series, 2 games in Brisbane and (probably, you would hope) a new halves pairing...

Did NSW show us any mercy when everything was stacked against us in the 60's and 70's ? No sir. Born and bred Queenslanders came and killed us in sky blue jerseys year after year. I will never forget, I watched on in horror as a young lad.

Some in this thread can try all they like to show that they are good sports, and then in other threads blame Bellamy, the refs and anything else for this never to be repeated series by the greatest Origin team of all time. You want respect, you have to earn it all year round in my view.

Being a true Queenslander is a state of mind that you will never fathom, so don't even try.
