A very good game by Manly tonight. Defensively we were outplayed by your boys, after dominating the possession and field position in the first half.

Monaghan and Brett Stewart were exceptional tonight, and if the selectors have half a brain then Monaghan should be in the 7 jersey on Tuesday.

Again well done and hopefully we see a game just as tough in Round 20.

Well, I know it's bitter pill to swallow, but we have built this team slowly over the last 3 or 4 years and are reaping the rewards.

Having Smith as your coach prior to this season was not a good idea. Taking you guys to the GF in 2001 it all went pear shaped from then on.

Was a good game and I would have been spewing if we lost but I think with the talent in our squad we should have won easily. Your boys put up a good fight.

The manly defence was really good...

Mona's to half back next week and you guys would be a top team...

Congratulations to Manly for really playing good, patient football and being rewarded.

Incidentally - can we swap PJ for Monaghan? :sarcasm:

I knew it was our night when Hindmarsh got hit hard and lost the ball. Was Finch on the park? :sarcasm:

Defensively? Yes.

But I think someone needs to tell him that a 5/8 is supposed to attack as well...

He cleaned up a neat Orford Kick...that's all I remember.

Thanks Parra fans. You guys are alright...except your CEO, who should be sent to the RSPCA for immediate disposal.

If you can get a bit fitter (we've run most teams off their feet this year though so you're not alone) and not put up stupid sixth tackle options, you should make the eight.

He also cleaned up an Orford grubber to the in-goal, with none other than Brett "The Flash" Stewart chasing it through. That and he made a few decent tackles.

Defensively he's doing alright. He's just not adding anything to the attack.

Not that that's an excuse - Manly's defence was very good, and I think it frustrated our team. Then again, Tim's radar was way off lol.

But kudos on a resilient, patient win.

Thought Hindy was very quiet tonight. As for Finch, well lets just say I'm glad he is playing for Parra.

Thanks guys, you are good sports.

Yeah, considering the high dickhead content that can sometimes be found on this forum, i am very impressed by those of you Eel fans being good sports. :thumn

Thanks for the kind words eel fans.
I think a massive positive from your club would have to be that young Jarrod Hayne f**k he frustrated me tonight he is a good player and i reckon he will be a great player in the future, he deserves to be in the nsw team imo.

Hindy had a very rare off night f**k knows what was wrong with him and Finch is really only decent off the ball.

can I quickly ask wtf is wrong with Orford??? :?

He isn't completely dominating a game, but he is putting is some nice touches and running to the line.

Its hard to watch a player as good as orford struggle to get back into form.

There were glipses but at the moment he is being outplayed by Monaghan. Who I might add deserves a spot in the Origin. 7 or 6 ? Can't believe we are letting him go.

Trying to hard perhaps?

probably, the thing is, he has an awsome pack behind him laying a perfect platform and he just doesn't take the game by scruff of the neck.
