I wonder if the Cooks could encourage Robbie Paul to make himself available, he's due to play halfback for Leigh Centurions next year, and is eligible for them. Cook Islands RU five eighth Tommy Hayes was born in Tokoroa NZ like NZ Kiwi brothers Robbie and Henry Paul, and mentioned in a Rugby World magazine that Henry was eligible for the Cook Islands.

Didnt know metcalf was either but dont think he can travel. seen him at raiders training so he might be related to low or mataora.

Speaking with Cook Is RL presidnet a while back, basically the way the sports work in the CI is that you first have the League season, then the Union and then the soccer... and basically everyone plays all three sports. So in short, yes Tommy Hayes would be eligible if he wants to play.

True didnt realise he was both.

It would be good to see metcalf play if he is allowed.

Remember people the Cooks will included at least one or two local players.
Hooker from Warriors U/20's is a local boy who played from the national as a youngster.

From what ive seen league profile is bigger than rugby.

Jono Ford is an unusual player.
He is named at 7 in the Knights NYC team this week, and he has some great playmaking skills, and he leads the team in offloads because he is a giant of a guy who can hold off three defenders and offload.
No one outjumps him when he plays fullback, because he is 2 metres tall.
He is the guy packing into this scrum at lock.

Hitman i think you will find Karmichael has already had discussions with the CIRLA and RLIF about the possibility of representing the islands at the end of the year.

Hitman they can be both remember they just need a grandparent to be elibible that's why I put the ? after Pritchard. His cousin played for them but if it isn't the same grandparent then he's can't play. He won't play but it doesn't stop him being elible. Like Petero and fiji can play but wont.

Hunt's mum lives in CI to look after a family member Nan or pop. He asked to play for them after the season. Much the same in UK Calderwood Scottish played for England. Grandparents moved to eng or something so qualfies for both

This is actually a pretty interesting development.

Hunt has effectively wrote himself out of any chance of a test jumper (i would have thought). Cook Islands, though, is a different story. Unfortunately he will need to wait the three years (i think he does anyway), but there may actually be special circumstances in this case, and if he were to commit to Cook Islands for life, i would really like to see it.

First of all, he has a bona fide connection there, stronger than most relying on the GP rule. Secondly, him playing for the cook islands would be a massive publicity coo for both the cook islands and the pacific cup. Just imagine the publicity if Hunt was playing AFL and repping for the Cook Islands! Now it sounds crazy, but Hunt could qualify by playing some Local Cook islands games and trials (would be great for the game locally). At first you would say that no AFL club would let him do this, but think about it. He was only really signed mainly as a publicity stunt. Nothing would keep him in the news and raise the profile of AFl more than Hunt playing rugby league. It is a win win situation for both parties.

The only losers would be those who are going to reply to this post screaming the Credibility the credibility. But realistically, there are going to be plenty of nation hopping in the next 5 years anyway, so why not take the hit at the moment and allow Hunt to rep for cook islands, provided that he signs a commitment for life.
