He's getting on a bit but he's durable. He hasn't shown any signs of slowing down.

Offer for Brooks should be taken off the table immediately. Offer Cronk everything and a job for life coaching after football. If we don't at least make a play for him they are obviously never serious about building a competitive team.

Absolutely Definitely 100% we should go after him! In fact even if we don't really think we'll get him we should go after him and send a message out in the player market that we are IN THE MARKET for BIG NAME PLAYERS every time (or more often than not) that a top quality player becomes available.

We need to stop portraying ourselves as a little old battler club who can't afford GUN PLAYERS
We need to stop sending the messages that we are opportunistic and will only go after players that are A) Juniors B) Being off-loaded by other clubs or C) Rehab cases.

As lawyers say - "It goes to show motive Your Honour"

And we should be out there showing that as a club we're serious about WINNING and not just making up the numbers and that we believe enough in ourselves as a club to assume that the likes of Cooper Cronk would consider us! And even if he doesn't and nobody believes it this time...each and every time after....if we continue to go BOLDLY after top players eventually they will.

It will also send a message to our roster that you're not irreplaceable SO DON'T GET COMPLACENT cos we're prepared to go after BIG NAMES!

Instead of trying to go for all or nothing plays like we do now this bloke would get us repeat sets over and over until we can ware down teams. We won't have impatient offense. Always he will kick to corners and chase not put up bombs from halfway that get carried back 20m cos no one but Usain bolt would be able to get to them.

Cronk is only worthwhile if we hang onto Brooks.

He will make Brooks better and see him hit his potential.

Moses wants dollars and the broncos are chasing him hard. They can have him.

Both our halves will see their value plummet now that Cronk is on the market and supposedly chasing between 1 and 1.2 mil a season for 2 years.
