Id like to know what ppl think of this matchup. I personally think they are very similar players, and defensively are both awesome. Who will win the battle this weekend?

Hodges hasn't been playing as well as what he can - not to say he is playing badly however he hasn't come looking for the ball and waits for it to come to him rather than getting involved. Cooper is playing extremely well and his form should continue provided who ever gets the 5/8 role gets the ball out to him. From what I have seen this will probably be the SOO match up as well as long as Hodges form improves a bit.

On form, Cooper. Hodges might make more metres, but most will be sideways

The only thing Hodges has over Cooper, is when he rubs his hand into his face while getting off him!

Other than that, Hodges will only be seeing flashes of white go past him!

Good players don't stay out of form for that long.

However, is Hodges a good player??? :p

So far this year statistically they are very similar in defense and Cooper being ahead slightly in metres gained.

Hodges:
Tackles/Mistackles 102/6
Metres gained 440

Cooper:
Tackles/Mistackles 111/7
Metres gained 533

Hodges is down on form and confidence after coming back from a knee reconstruction. IMO, he was the best centre in the game at the back end of season 2002 and early last year until his injury. At the moment, Cooper is on fire. If Hodges gets back to the form he showed previously, it would be an awesome match up.

Cooper for sure.

Hodges is a cat and will probably end up cowering behind someone making threats as he walks away. The norm for a scumbag like him.

Hodges is over-rated and ontop of that he is a smartass. Cooper is better than him in all aspects of the game. I have always rated Cooper especially for the last couple of years he is a dark horse, not many people knew about him until he scored 4 tries against us last week :( now everyone knows about him.

Ever since Hodges came back from his "time away" he's been over-weight. That's probably contributing to the fact that he's been playing like a busted all year...

Cooper shits on him though, and will do so on Sunday.

Cheers,
Ben S.

I really rated Hodges, I thought he was one of the better outside backs running around - but this year he has been flat and predictable. I hope he gets it back in time for origin as Im a QLD supporter.
