Everyone on here can be as bitter as they like with Kent, Ikin, Grant and Greenburg. So am I to some extent.

But at the end of the day, this club has dug its own grave and only we can get out of it. I never thought this club would become an embarrassment to support but it is getting close. Terrible leadership, terrible board, poor culture and poor mentoring of players has lead to this.

But I am optimistic. Not next year or even the year after - but we will be back.

I agree, but the whole matter would have been completely different if the media were not leaked confidential information.

well, our (and the public's) perception on the matter might have been different.

I don't really think the media had any influence on the outcome of the investigation.

i got what you said but it's impossible seeing we need to win every game
having said that if brad did dump norman it would send a very strong message to the team
No I don't think you did, he wouldn't miss a game if we dropped him Monday through Thursday.

Why do you believe in a no dickheads policy for a footy club whilebyou have completely different standards for yourself?
And you are judging me based on posts from a footy forum? The people that do know me personally will vouch that I always place integrity above all. I apologise if it doesn't come across these precious forums. I suspect in the real world that you too are more than likely a good and honest person.

Anyway back to Norman. According to the SMH a drug conviction has been recorded. He now has a criminal record and must be sanctioned. I would suspend him for a number of games and fine him a significant amount. Our future as a club and the standards that we set must be enforced and should commence immediately.

its a hard one do you let him play and fine him or suspend him and risk losing whatever slim hope we have of still making the finals?

We will suspend him imo I just don't think we should.

We will be pressured through the media as having no leadership if we don't take strong action.

Robson and Taka in the halves on Sunday?

Geez some players are dumb. Deserves what he gets. Just hope his asking price has dropped commensurate with his actions.

This is why I get angry when people say that our players can socialise with whoever they want. They simply can't, sometimes even legally. Hanging out with garbage usually leads to things like this. Norman and Foran to a lesser extent are prime examples.

Its a very minor drug offence, if anything the recording of a conviction and fine are excessive.

Oh how many times I heard that and believed that. I must be getting more cynical as I get older as I'm thinking my hypothetical grand kids may be lucky to see it happen

Agree that the penalties may well have been the same. However the collateral damage that we have received from leaks being in the news almost everyday for months is shocking.
