I don't think the NRL should be punishing any player for drug offences as a matter of principle. (Unless they are performance enhancing, if so then it becomes a totally different story)

I agree. But given that they do treat the class of drugs as a no-no, I reckon they need to apply a penalty here.

Can someone explain the muscle relaxants? Is it to stop lock-jaw from e's? Or do the blokes get friendly with each other if they don't get lucky?

Massoud reporting the Dragons are offering him a 3yr 2.4 million dollar contract.
Supposedly only needing to shed one player to fit him under the cap.

Muscle relaxants are used to counter stress, seizures, anxiety and depression.

My assumption would be to counter the charging feeling of more speed based pills. It would give that smackey feeling that some people like.

I always preferred the chargey feeling, I hated feeling like I was lethargic!

Just to rant a little further.

I don't get this sudden firing squad around Norman at all. He's been probably one of if not our best player this season so its not as if he's just a convenient scapegoat for bad performances.

All we know so far is that he has:

a) Had sex and it was filmed, perhaps by him, perhaps not.
b) He's a victim of extortion for a.
c) He was caught for a very minor drug offence. Neither the police nor the prosecution argued against a s10 where a conviction would not have been recorded. There is no evidence that he even consumed the drug (and even if he did, I don't really care as long as it hasn't detracted from his performances).

It seems bizarre to me. Not only does it not make sense from any kind of 'moral outrage' standpoint but it is also completely ridiculous from a footballing position. We've barely had a decent halves pairing since I've been conscious, this season we finally get one and in an amazing piece of bad luck we've lost our halfback. Now some people here want to get rid of our five-eighth for the innocuous aforementioned non-issues.

Two weeks imo, then he's good to go again.

Stood down by the club on the basis of disciplinary reasons/that he didn't admit his guilt when the charge was first brought. (Otherwise he could have served his employment-related punishment already.)

Then on notice, with the usual behavioural clauses - that will be consistent with similar cases and keep the NRL happy.

Do we re-sign him? Depends whether or not he lied to the club/Arthur. I wouldn't pay overs or get in a bidding war... I think our offer is already on the table? Take it now or leave it Corey.

I thought at LU it was a dickheads only policy? That's why I'm here!

Yeah, not a fan of feeling like I can't move.

If I'm going to take something illegal I might as well have fun doing it and dancing and talking shit at a million miles an hour always made me happy!

Those days are very long gone though. I am now the most boring human on earth.

This is what they call "Bringing the Game Into Disrepute". It is what they nailed Mitchell Pearce with earlier this year. He was rubbed out for 8 weeks. I would suggest that would give you a pretty fair idea of what Norman can expect.

I don't think Parramatta would be wanting to stand him down at all. They let Radradra come back from Fiji late without saying boo. But the NRL will lean on them.
