Oates would be a great replacement for Nightingale. I actually like the idea of him playing centre. He has a great build for a centre. That may be his best position right now.

But Frank we all know Aitken & Lafai will never be dropped.

We're the only club where form & opportunity are dirty words that might mess up Mc Anal Retentive's team sheet.

Remember he only 'sacked' LOVECHILD for half a game Rd 25 was it last year?

There's a braindead ego driving this guy, along with a comatose administration & sycophantic, self serving support network.

And players that don’t have to perform as their coach is their mate

Jeez here we go, consistent excellent player for years linked to Dragons, people here then pay more attention to him in games and see an error and decide no thanks just from that

It was the same with Ben Hunt, people started whipping out the youtube montages like you wouldn't believe, all the mean while he was playing at 9 for us

I don't think Oates would be a good centre, not sure how he would be at distributing the ball to his winger, he's a fantastic finisher though and effectively a very agile forward on the wing who doesn't make many errors and won't get out-jumped in an aerial contest, he can also come in-field on set plays and run a good angle and be a damaging carrier of the ball as we've all seen

The thing is though is that he wants to play backrow and for us we don't really have a shortage of quality backrowers and he's also untried at first grade standard, so it's a risk on both aspects

Some good points.
Not sure we would get him.
He seems to want to play backrow and that is one place we have a lot of strength.
But if he want to play wing we would be mad not to try to get him
