So why can't posters respond by taking the piss out of those comments.

And does anyone on here seriously believe were a small tin pot club i think the answer is a firm NO.

What resources have we not lacked in or been behind at least some of our competition in over the last 15-20 years though?

Coaching?
Head of Football?
Junior Development and Pathways?
List Management?
Board and Governance?
TPA's?
Funding/financial support?
Training facilities?

These are all 'resources' that help make a successful football club.

When people continue to compare us with the more well-resourced clubs, no it isn't a piss take argument.
We've had the purse strings tied up for quite a while now (most notably in 2018 when the club did a review that said we were lacking in certain areas, especially coaching staff), but hopefully those days are behind us.

We haven't had the resources of clubs like Penrith, Melbourne, Brisbane and now Canterbury. Do you deny this?

They can. They can take the piss out of whatever they like.
It's just when some decide that it's not taking the piss anymore and that some people actually believe that's what people think, that's the issue.

Certain members here (one in particular, you wouldn't know him) would point out how other clubs have more resources than we do.

Other members here questioned this line of thinking and started taking the piss, saying "Well we have no resources because we are a shit, tinpot club".

So basically, no one has ever seriously said that.

The labelling of them as resources detracts from a more common understanding of resources being more like revenue, plant and equipment.
The original discourse on resources seemed (to my reading) more along that common parlance. And my observation is that the majority of posters keep using it in that fashion.

The last three I listed would fall into your definition of resources being "revenue, plant and equipment" and apart from the election of quality Board members, the others are reliant on having funding/revenue to recruit them - another of your resources.

Besides, by definition aren't Human Resources (i.e. people) resources?

The thing with Matto is he has a fairly clean record and his incident was barely worthy of a 1 week ban. Part of me wonders if his reaction was more due to frustration.
JWH takes someone's head off, had a woefull record and rarely copped 3 weeks for anything
