Surely after watching tonights game and seeing Mitch Brown and Sam Perrett SAFE AND CONFIDENT under the high ball.

We got to get Soward to send bombs at Corey Thompson.

I don't understand why they were peppering Mitch Brown with bombs all night as Thompson is shorter.

Soward rarely puts in a cross field kick unless he sees the winger is out of place anyway.

Or because with no Simmons we aren't any more likely to end up winning the contest then the opposition. Mansour and DWZ haven't proven to be great targets in the air. Not much point trying to force an error from a bomb if we're unlikely to do so. Would be a low percentage play.

Much prefer grubbers and kicks behind the opposition backline where we are turning them around and have a higher chance at getting a result that favours us.

Seven tackle rule as well. Having strong wide runners is our strength so Cleary is using them.

If we are planning to target Corey I think it should be in the form of putting Mansour one on one with him close to the line. Give sauce the opportunity to trample over a much smaller man. Also with putting bombs up to that wing its not like mansour is gonna have much advantage in the air over him anyway, idris would be the most threatening. Either way running the ball seems the best option.

We've used Idris in short range bombs before to reasonable success. Im trusting Jamie to know what he's doing, though.

I'd like to see our return on our last tackle plays in attacking position since the Broncos game compared to other teams, I doubt it'd be flattering.

Losing Simmons, Nabuli, Naiqama. I guess there hadn't been much interest around him and we thought we could pick up a bargain.

Lets assume there's no positional changes in the backs for round 1.

NSW Cup backs will be:

Moss
Simmons
Blake
Smith
Jennings

That's it so far so we need more outside backs. Probably won't see much 1st grade though so that's an issue. Fringe 1st grades and NYC Graduates seem the best options
