Mitchell and Walker were allowed to attend, but the Jet and Will Smith weren't and thus will face sanction.

So what they are worried about isn't the risk of players bringing Covid into the bubble, it is their supreme authority being defied. If players weren't allowed to attend, all players should not have been allowed to attend, not just those the NRL picked. The NRL looks more and more like a gestapo with each passing day.

I get the thinking behind this, but I don't think any player should have been given an exemption to go, but what restrictions are on players in general? AFAIK they have to wear masks whilst indoors and not much else.

Are they not to go to any pub, or club, or anywhere?

The NRL is walking a tight rope really at the moment, it won't take much for an outbreak to occur in the playing ranks and for the season to be thrown in to upheaval again.

Fairly selfish stuff from the players to be honest given what is at stake.

Latrell and Cody were given exemption since they were part of Tszyu's entourage organised before the NRL went back to the bubble. They were granted permission with directions, such as wearing masks the entire time, not being in public space, etc.

Jet and Smith, not only didn't have an exemption, were there without masks on and mingling with the general crowd.

Teams have relocated to keep the game going, and you have f**kwits like this doing whatever they feel like. Ban the selfish merkin for the season and erase him from my club please NRL. Pleeeeease!
