Nightingale is NOT a fullback - cant chime into the attack - hes 2nd best winger in the world!! Leave him there! cant pass!!!

Hornby - Protected species - why?? Soward didnt deserve to be dropped!! Hornby and Fien together recipe for disaster!

Question: (worth $500)
Why are we so inconsistent week in and week out in 2012!???

Answer:
Whoever comes up w the game plan is to blame! - ie: The Coach!!
Its beyond me that the same team last week played like tonite this week!! WTF is happening in the dressing rooms and training during the week?

Question:($1000)
What is the definitive style and characteristic of play of the 2012 Dragons?

Answer:
No one knows - especially the COACH!!!

Question: (worth $1,000,000)
Who is single handedly responsible for the demise of the most consistent and best drilled rugby league team in the world from seasons 2009-2011

Answer:
Price and Doust!!!

Solution:
Bring back a CEO that understands how to drive recruitment and administrate a RL team not a bank!! -
Piss off Craig Young cant identify a player if he fell on them - wheres Noel Cleal!!
Hire Brian Johnston as CEO (Football Brain and best administrator we had) and hire a coach that has a proven results pedigree ..

How The Fu... was Price Hired????????? How!!!!!

This question along w who who signed Ah Mau need to be answered tonite!!:x......As a proud Dragons supporter there is no silver lining looming guys!!

Our 2013 recruitment is non existent and lacks strategy and foresight....I can see Folkes rubbing his hands in glee waiting for the call up!!

FFS blood a couple of youngsters during the last 4 rounds and give the golden oldies a spell in the paddock......Port Kembla preferably..its a young mans game....get w it Price!!:x:x

For a million dollars, the question was "who single handedly" yet you gave 2 answers?

I hope your not writing out a cheque to yourself, one of you is getting ripped off.

tonight just showed that Melb were that bad last week that anyone would have beaten them. Tonight Saints had a great opportunity to push for the 8 and failed.

Roosters 2nd win in 10 weeks and Saints could only score 2 tries when they were down 1 man. How embarrassing.

Whoever was playing 5/8th for you guys was invisible..

The comp is that close that it was always going to be hard for you guys to back up after last week,& our team of kids was going to show something sooner or later..

It's probably obvious, but you seemed to miss Soward badly..

I would say the last 2 weeks sums up the season. At home we look ok which gives us all hope, allows us to pat ourselves on the back think "we're back" whilst away from home we are poor and sends this place into meltdown.

We are just incredibly inconsistent now, we'll put in a good game here and there but simply won't fire every week, just like about 12 other teams.

We've had good years, was always going to be a down turn, simply a matter of how many seasons it lasts. I'm predicting similar next year, and then improving for the next few years after that.

He is absolutely the best option we have in 2012, I can guarantee with any other player in our squad chosen at fullback, we would be chasing atleast 6-12 points per game in defensive errors that all inexperienced backs make when the blowtorch is applied.

2013 is another story.

Hornby - Protected species - why?? Soward didnt deserve to be dropped!! Hornby and Fien together recipe for disaster!

Yes Soward/Fien was the combination to go with 'if' he really wanted Fien to stay, but really I think Soward's dropping was as much about attitude, as it was about performance.

Isn't it ironic Mitchell Pearce sealed our fate when he's be rumoured to be coming to the dragons and we all know he's zero chance of coming to the dragons!

Yes, sack the coach. An awfull effort. Nightie great player but cant pass. Why with 20 seconds to half time and down 6-0 would you try and score a 4 pointers from 60 meters out take the tackle go in 6-0 down is that difficult. From the first set of 6 in defence it was obvious from where i was sitting that they wernt there, virtually the whole game they never came off their line in defence and pressured the Roosters, the difference in the sets between the teams was about 30 meters we were constantly under the pump. Watching the back line moves is like watching as someone else said an 8 cylinder car running on 4 cylinders. Making the top 8 is a waste we would be gone in week one. This coach has wrecked the team, no quetions in my mind. Im shattered.

Hard to argue with the comments on here. Sick of hearing from Price how we are just abut there. We are nowhere near where we need to be. The attack is awful, so disorganised. Fien had some good kicks but also gave up two penalties for crossing behind players - so much for hime being more direct than Soward!
Comments about Nighty are true too. He is an excellent finishing winger, not a fullback. We need a fullback with pace who can chime into the backline (as others have said) - much like Hornblower used to do when he was younger. Beale may solve that problem next year but for now, Bronx Goodwin should be given a go.
Still don't now what Sowie is meant to prove playing at Cutters today. Soward on a bad day is still better than Fien at 6 nine games out of ten. It wasn't all bad last night, but the opposition again wasn't that great.
Those concerned about where the club is at are not being negative, just realistic.

Price gets his pants pulled down yet again. Fien was rubbish and was the direct cause of the side to side attack. If Price is to demonstrate to the supporters at all at he has any sense of credibility surely Hornby must go. And to think price still sees Hornby as the answer to halfback next season.... That'll do me.
At the end of the season Hornby should sit down and watch replays of his performances this year, the question to retire or play on will be glaringly obvious

Funny how you keep sprouting on about Folkes...
In my view, as an employee he is also part of the problem based on the results being dished up at the moment. As part of the coaching staff, he must also take some of the responsibility.
Do you think if Price was sacked and Folkes was given the job that things would just change ?

Hornby wants the money thats why he is playing on it has nothing to do with Pride in the Red V if that was the case he would retire I know I would if I kept performing like that and hurting my own reputation.

Fien needs to go to keeping King waiting and only allowing him limited minutes shows Price is a jobs for the boys kind of coach and the club as a whole is the same its the worst run club for this and its really starting to show.

Why would any player want to come to the Dragons when they either don't get paid market value or end up playing reserves for other guys who are out of form and a Coach who has no idea what he is doing and only picks his favourites.

If the players are holding Price over a barrel in terms of who gets picked and who doesn't then he is piss weak which I have always thought he was.

Although I dont think folkes is the answer he was employed to be defensive coach and our defense has been one of the best in the league, which is a big achievement given the amount of dropped ball and turnovers and errors the team has produced all season, thus placing extra strain on the defense...

Spot on Mr Red and he looked even slower last night which is hard to believe considering the way he's gone this year.

Good points, and let's face it Folkes would be hard pressed to do worse than what is happening at the mo.
It's a real worry that players will be looking at the Dragons' selection methods and be thinking they don't want to go anywhere near our side. We look totally clueless when on attack and even our good players making dumb errors and bad calls.

Yes true, because remember Doust said that price, young and folkes are each coaching the side on 1/3 of the field each, lol

It is a well know fact that any good coach should understand; you don't weaken one position to prop up another. Let's take a look at what has really happened.

At the time of losing Multzen, Price, Doust and Craig Young should have immediately looked to hire a tried and true fullback using the fund allocation that was budgeted for Multzen. Instead the 3 of them felt they could gamble on finding someone from within the club and in so doing save this money for other pressing debts. This is only one of many poor decisions made by these 3 that have caused our Club to go from top team to bottom dweller.

Stanley was nominated by Price to fill the fullback position after about 12 weeks of pre-season training. Price could not and did not recognise Stanley's weaknesses in relation to the requirements of fullback play. What was he doing for 12 weeks? It only took a couple of NRL games to show Price's poor judgement.

Next he decides to move Morris our best LEFT WINGER from his position to fullback and replace him with Vidot a RIGHT WINGER. Morris as always put in his best efforts and was initially successfull in his efforts however, Vidot was way out of his league racking up error after error contributing to a string of losses.

Next Price moved Nightingale our best RIGHT WINGER from is position to the left wing position and Vidot to his favoured right wing resulting in the continuing drought of tries down the left flank and Morris becoming more and more burnt out in his role as fullback.

Next decision was to move Morris back to his favoured left wing position, keep an improving Vidot on the right wing and move our best right winger to fullback with the result being an increase of tries down the left flank, very little down the right flank and Nightingale putting in his best efforts at the back without much success.

The fullback problem should have been solved by filling the fullback spot with a fullback during the pre-season training period. Buy a fullback or at least trial Cummins and later on Lett who is now killing them in the Cutters.

Price spent a lot of time fiddling with fullback while at the same time stuffing up our attacking weapons on the flanks when the real problems have always been in the halves and the forward pack. He could have at least tried the Kyle/Soward combination or the Soward/Fien combination but no he has made Hornby a protected species and instead has presided over loss after loss as if it is his right to gamble the success of our great Club.

Last night Price made the ultimate mistake in sacking our most valuable player and key playmaker Jamie Soward. The results are for all to see and I doubt that anyone here would say this was a good move.

Price needs to resign immediately and Folkes to take control for the remainder of the year. Doust and Craig Young need to step down as they are as much responsible for this mess as Price is. The search for replacements should commence immediately.

For example Carr for Legues Club CEO, Johnston for Football Club CEO and Coyne as recruitment officer would be a geat start. Replacement coach would take a lot more thought as there is not a standout candidate who immediately comes to mind.
