Could the storm ever recover if they lose again?

What the f**k are you on about? The Knights are going to be fine next year. If the Storm lose again on Sunday, there's no knowing how they'll recover from it. They lost last year, and you could see it deeply affected them, and they obviously resolved to not make the same mistake again this year. They've been the best team two years in a row now, but if they lose a second successive Grand Final, you know that'll be right in the minds of the players when they return next year and you gotta wonder whether they can keep performing at the level they have been

If the Storm lose every player will get a 1000 year old egyptian mummy curse, and the entire city of Melb will explode and be uninhabitable for millenia.
Recover??

unfortunately i think the salary cap makes the competition a cycle now. storm have fantastic crop of players, in 2 years they will have left, the bottom place teams will of gotten superstars, win a few comps, lose those players then we keep going around in circles. i think they will be semi finalists next year, but this could be their best chance in a while and if they lose they might have to wait 7 or so years to make it this far

This year is their best to win a premiership...they lose Cross, King and possibly Crossman and Newton which will severely weaken the forward pack.

A lot will rely on the shoulders of Kaufusi, White and Hoffman next year but the depth will not be there like it is this year.

Having said that Tagatese, Blair and Manu will step up next year.

Can think of a few clubs for whom just losing 2 GFs would be a hell of an acheivement.
