Was listening to the radio and a lot of people are calling up and supporting Storm and have vowed to go to all home games this year.

Bellamy... integrity? Bahahaha.

Mr Wrestle has always pushed the rules to the limit and beyond the spirit in which they were intended. Bit rich playing the victim now

And he can't create anything come origin time either.

Is it just me or is Bellamy, Cameron Smith and Slater the type of people you just want to slap.

They make me sick, especially Bellamy. Now his record states that he has won nothing. No premierships and no state of origins.

I have no problem with what Bellamy came out with today. He simply said what the fans needed to hear. Hope they stick by the club.

He has every right to defend his honour and that of the people who were doing the right thing or had no knowledge of the deceit. I think his statement was outstanding and I love him all the more for it. I care not what the haters think.

Nice rose tints.

For Bellamy to have the gall to use to word integrity in his press conference is surely the ultimate insult and his arrogance knows no bounds.

An apology to all fans of all other NRL clubs would have been nice.

At least now Mr Bellamy will be known for more than just the chicken wing and grapple tackles which he so graciously introduced to our game.

His statement was outstanding.
Other fans, put in our shoes would feel the same. Especially if their players and coaches were innocent.

Lol @ some of you Dragons fans using this to explain your hatred for Storm. We know the real reason.

The more they speak, the more they potentially dig a hole for themselves if some of them are found to have colluded in deceitful activity both within the NRL community and the law. The ATO are sniffing around as are the police.

The 4 players that are linked to documents found hidden will be under the spotlight and not just them but all Storm management and coaching / recruitment staff. I'm sure the vast majority of the players are honest but....... things will be examined and explanations have to be given.

I also notice not one word was said by Bellamy or any Storm player or rep giving it to Waldron for placing them in this position. Its better to play the victim and blame the NRL for being too severe. Damn them - get your heads out of the sand lads. What else could the NRL do?

Having said that, I do think they did have to get people focused on the game and the future and Bellamy's speech as good for that. I hope Storm survives.

your obsession with sainst is flattering

i understand you wish your club was as majestic as ours but i think recent events will show that's unlikely

Hopefully, the whole truth will come out in time.

Let's be honest here 'Stormbati' blind freddie has had question marks over your 'salary cap' and 'playing roster' for years. Despite the obvious issues the 'Storm' somehow or another were able to recruit mid season the likes of Clint Newton and Brett Finch. Every supporter from the Penrith Panthers to the Western Reds knew you guys were rorting the salary cap but we simply never expected it would ever be 'detected'. You finally got caught. Blah Blah Blah poor old Craig Bellamy didn't know, the players didn't know well you may be right but everyone else bloody well did.

Mate, I do feel some sympathy as a fellow supporter, but your coach did not do himself any favours today and nor did he show any respect to the fans of the other clubs of the NRL.

To think I used to believe you were one of the sane and reasonable people on this forum. Wow.

Yes, how lucky we were to be able to recruit from those powerhouses........

do you even know the calibre of players they were able to 'obtain' during their foundation year from the Reds and Mariners???

Robbie Kearns, Rodney Howe, Robbie Ross, Scott Hill, Brett Kimmorley, Matt Geyer and Paul Marquet were f**king great players in the storms early days, all of them from the Reds and Mariners, and they also able to obtain Nikau and Lazarus because of their ties with Super League. Don't try and pretend that you guys weren't 'given' a top notch side, because you f**king well were, whilst teams like mine were given absolutely no help whatsoever in being able to recruit a decent side, because coming from a league heartland, people were always going to support NQ regardless of our on field performances.

I am not having a shot at the Storms existence either. I went to 2 games down there last year, and it filled me with pride talking to fans at the game and at the bars nearby about how they had turned into Rugby League fans due to the Storm and how much passion they showed for their team. We need them in this comp for not only developing our code but also for the TV rights $$$. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them through the years, 1999 was outstanding, I have also had the pleasure of being able to watch them live in person in their first few years in the finals games in Sydney. I am not a Storm hater one bit, in fact they are probably my 2nd team (if I had one)

But what I saw yesterday coming from Bellamys mouth showed no humility towards this great game. I am all for him showing pride, and supporting his players, but he left a real sour taste in my mouth. What he said about 'we have been through tough times before' made me laugh. Other than losing a couple of GF's, what friggin tough times have the Storm had???? The club has always been in the finals, had great success, minimal off field dramas (well until now), had decent enough support considering where they are located, I fail to see how the hell they have been faced with tough times before, all he was doing in times was trying to play the victim yesterday, everyone in this great game is a victim, but it would be nice for him to recognise this and show some respect for the other 15 teams that have been cheated in the last 5 years.

Best case scenario is none of them knew about the cap rort; worst case scenario is 3 or 4 of them were aware of what's going on. That still leaves the vast majority who do not deserve that have their integrity and dignity in question.
Either way, Bellamy was talking on behalf of the group and has every right to claim their integrity and dignity is still intact.
