I for one think the Bellamy would be a great replacement for Daniel Anderson as the Eels.

OK you may say he only won the GF's with players over the cap True but he had the coach them.

you may say he has failed with the NSW team, But who wouldn't with that QLD team I think even the great Gus would of failed.

Bellamy looks like a hard coach was Bennett's ass coach for years & I think he will get the best out of the likes of Hayne, Mortimer, Poore, Mannah & Tahu.

So 3P please make this happen as we all know Anderson is on of Fitzy`s boys.

Ask yourself would the likes of Inu, Mateo & (Grothe ?) still be Eels in 2011 if Bellamy was in charge.

Pass. People give a lot of credit to Bellamy and his coaching of Slater, Smith etc but truth is Melbourne spend triple on recruitment and development of juniors in comparison to other clubs simply because they can afford to.

You have to remember that Bellamy got the team he wanted for Origin every game with the exception of game 3 this year (Tim Mannah). That says it all to me.

And I belive that the players you mentioned would be gone under him as well, DA is trying to assemble a squad of 25 who will bust their gut every week, not whenever they feel like it.

I always thought bennetts ass looked a little bony for an nrl coach. Bellamy really wasn't doing a good job there.

Bellamy has proven himself to be a useless Origin coach but I don't think you can knock his club credentials. Financial "issues" aside, he DID develop a whole bunch of top notch players from talented youngsters into premiership winners.

He would be great, however, don't expect instant results, what he showed in Origin is that he's not a BAD coach, more so that he's the type of coach that takes alot of time to nurture and develop the players and the team, like what he did with melbourne...minus the whole cap scandal. Plus, his perception of what 'form' is pretty weird, not that DA does a better job in that area.

No way, like you said everything he achieved was by cheating and when he couldn't cheat in Origin he couldn't win. Simple as that, Tim Sheens would be a great replacement at the end of 2011 IMO.
