In the Sunday telegraph today it has a list of on the market player's that do not have a club next year. Stapo, Hopkins and Muspratt are all listed as being unsigned for 2005

I read that....poor Hoppy - I feel sorry for him...he is a good player......Stapo too - but I reckon stapo will get a gig somewhere for sure

I feel terrible for all 3 of them...they are such nice guys and don't deserve to be left without a club :( :(

You'd think Stapo and Hokins would get an offer from somewhere, having played stacks of first grade for us and did OK?

C'mon Souths, get the checkbook out!

the fact that none of the three boys haven't been signed is beyond me at the moment, Lee Hopkins is a classic number 14 and Stapo can play in both in the Backrow and front row and have offered more this year than a few players in our club who are still under contract.

Hopkins should be retained and yes eelevation he would fit well at #14 to play the ultimate utility role...........

ticker and passion doesnt win games by itself....though you do need it. Neither does being a good bloke. I think the fact these guys are still unsigned says a lot...thougn I am most surprised about hopkins, I thought he'd have south sydney written all over him (and no, I'm not having a shot at lee, I just think he is the type of players souths are lacking).

It's a disgrace. :x

I'd rate Stapo as our 3rd best performer last year behing Nathan & Wade
We've now got injury-prone props in Cayless, Cannings, Stringer and a pussy in Vella.

However, would be interesting to see if Manly pick up this Parra discard.

He was a good fill in. When our props fire he wouldnt get a spot. He was a good honest player and I was hoping we would resign him.

I would probably sign Hopo out of the three as he offers more versatility than the others.

I've chosen him as a hyperthetical. He would be the one of the three I would offer the contract to.

Ohh yes for sure. We really need another utility just in case Pj is injured. I think Mateo could fill that spot nicely.

disagree to an extent as you have missed out Henderson from the roosters, who regardless of what we think of him, i think he will spend some time in the role

and you can subtract Widders from the role - as although i am sure he could easily fill the utility/dummy-half role, much of his ability running onto the ball and creating play from doing so will be lost - he is much more effective running wider than being in at dummy-half

and how much dummy-half work has a huge bloke like Mateo done?????

Has this actually been confirmed at all ?

We will get no info from the official Panthers website until it's
back up and running in November.

That's if they bother to tell us anything at all ?

And if so........can anyone tell me anything about him ?
Anyone happen to have a photo ?
