There's probably unofficially 3 tiers of test cricket these days.
1. 12 plus tests a year.
Australia
England
India
2. 6 - 8 tests a year
New Zealand
Pakistan
Sri Lanka
South Africa
3. 5 or less per year
West Indies
Bangladesh
Afghanistan
Zimbabwe
Ireland

That last group will get bigger. Great players will only come from the top 3 purely due to the amount they play, particularly against each other. After seeing an all time Great test match in New Zealand you think there is hope for test cricket but maybe not.

too much white ball shit so hard to see more test matches like that if they dont play enough
