Cricket is a simple game where 22 players take the field and Australia win.

Green is not obligated to move. He's stood still.

The only thing in contention is that he used his bat.

He's entitled to protect himself from the throw and it would have hit him and not the stumps in any case.

I saw a brief video on Insta in which Ed Cowan stated that there is a playing condition in the Sheffield Shield in which the Batsman is allowed to protect themselves with their Bat instead of wearing an errant throw.
