Anyone else been watching the "The Brief History of Cricket Downunder" on Fox ?

Its a fantastic series and some great interviews from the great players.

Its on Binge and AppleTV as well.

up to about Episode 6, this would be cricket porn for @JJ, so much Hadlee in this

ol mate JJ would be paddling himself

f**k he was a good bowler though, there is a bit where they interview Smithy and he says at the end of the first over in a test match if you look at the ball it had 6 tinges of green on the seem and nothing on the flat, every ball he bowled hit the middle of the seem

Mike Procter, South Africa's great allrounder, dies aged 77

Ive had a quick look at his stats, FC bowling average of 19 and batting average of 36, incredible allround stats.

Only played 7 tests but obviously we know why. A lot of people reckon if they werent banned, that team couldve been anything, Proctor, Richards, G Pollock, Barlow.

Only just saw this. What a golden era for STH Africa tgat might have been, Peter Pollock and Clive Rice too, they would have challenged the great Windies sides

I saw highlights of the 1992 World Cup final and he was in commentary. I didnt know much about him apart from that he was part of the South African team that played against the rebel teams alongside Wessels and Donald.

I dont think he played a test but played ODI's once South Africa got back in but wouldve been about 40 odd. I did quick check of his FC stats, something like 40 with the bat and 20 something with the ball. Incredible.

Yep, he and Hadlee were quite the pair at Nottinghamshire. I fully agree with RSA’s exclusion, but a huge Shane to not see some all time greats play test cricket
