Hi to all Parra fans.

If you live in the local area and are interested in playing social but competitive cricket this season, why not take a look at our website, www.vikingscc.org.au

We host six teams in grades 1-6 of the NDCA competition which plays in Dundas, Rydalmere, Ermington Eastwood and Epping areas.

First grade play on turf pitches, and the rest on astro turf. Training is not compulsory, but everyone is encouraged to join for a drink and a meal at dundas sports club after our games.

We can obviously accomodate players of varying ages and abilities. We'd love to hear from you and good luck to the Eels this season.

Contact details are on our website if you are interested.

Cheers, Vikings Cricket Club Committee.

Thanks to the Moderator ...

By the way, all cricketers in NSW are covered by a compulsory insurance policy offered by Cricket NSW. If you register with any cricket club you will be covered by that insurance policy. It may not cover every contingency but is the best and only coverage available to any cricket club.

It doesn't cover Mad Monday though, which we certainly have on the first Monday after cricket Grand Finals at the end of March!

I live across the road from Richie Benaud and there would easily be two teams there every Sunday during summer that are dominated by Indian or Pakistani kids.

Same goes for the other oval at the end of Fennell Street. There would easily be 30 or 40 kids in the nets most days...
