Toronto, Ontario) Canada Rugby League is ecstatic to announce today its official partnership with the Breast Cancer Society of Canada. This partnership will be focused on raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research in Canada. Several initiatives will be planned for the 2012 season to integrate funding for breast cancer research and awareness into the Canada Rugby League program at both the domestic and national level.

The many exciting initiatives planned for their upcoming 2012 season will provide resources for research projects across Canada. The Wolverines now have even more to play for, combining the fight for Canadian Pride with the fight against breast cancer. Team Canada representative Sam Nady had these comments about this new coalition.

Some planned initiatives include a test match special dedicated to cancer research, as well as limited edition jerseys. The Team Canada Wolverines will play up to 8 international matches in the 2012 season. Check this space regularly for all Canada Rugby League related updates.
