Just here wondering if any Sharkie Fans have any Info Regarding a One year or Two year Venture Deal Regarding ..NSW/BUNDY CUP..Something simular to Windsor wolves [PANTHERS] - Bankstown Bulls [BULLDOGS] - Wentwortville Magpies [ Eels]..Because word has it around our Neck of the Woods in the Southwest that next season The SHARKS NSW CUP Squad will be Tagged as ..CABRAMATTA NSW/BUNDY Two Blues.. & alot of CABRA TWO BLUE Marquee Players will Loose their Spot[ due to Financial Restrictions & the points system] to Shark 1st Grade /NSW Cup Fringe Players.. In my Opionion I Like the Venture, as Their are Positives in this Issue & of course there would be a Downside to this Saga also. But the Cabra Club have a Wealth of Talent in the Junior Ranks & Had almost every Grade in the Grand Finals this Season & Never know The next Bunch of Hayne , Inu, Folau, keatings could end up playing for the Sharkies instead of the Eels. But i would Like to here from any Shark Fans Input on this Matter. Any Info on this matter would be much appreciated...

Been watching this with some interest and are very happy that we will be feilding a reserve grade team. In regards to some cabra plays beeing pushed out due to the points system there is also anouther side to the coin where fringe cabra players could get a run in firsts. When we did the joint venture with new town we picked up a couple of players. Kevin Kingston was playing for new town in reserve grade and before there was no chace of moving to firsts because the jets did not have a first grade feeder team but when they joined withe the sharks he got his chance. There were a few other players that year that also got a start in firsts. Hope it works out for both clubs

Very interesting

Why we can't use Caringbah or alike I am not sure.

I have no issue with the two blues, Parra fans are probably going to more annoyed than anything else.

Simple Angry, cash.

they are self funded by their Leagues Club.
Is there a club in the Shire which could compete with Cabra moneywise?
If it's a done deal i applaud it. Eventually i would want us to have our own team back but i'm happy that our players get to play in the reserves still.

Cronulla should try to develop the first vietnamese Rugby League player.
Tap into the asian market. Huge potential there.

Would Cabramatta move up to NSW Cup? Or still play Bundy Cup?

Yeah not Sure Girvie about how the NSW Cup Thing is Going to Pan out. But Those Rumours About The Cabra Bundy Cup Sponsors Backing out is not True. They Still have a Bundy Squad for Next year Season & i'm Quite Confident a Few Cabra Juniors will end up in the Shark Colors by the End of Next year..don't know if Parra would be Too Happy about that..

TWO BLUES JOIN FORCES WITH CRONULLA SHARKS

The Cabramatta Two Blues have agreed to terms for 12 months to form a joint venture team with the Cronulla Sharks to play in the 2010 NSW Cup Competition. The side, which would be known as the Cabramatta Two-Blues and will play out of New Era Stadium at Cabramatta, would contain between 5 and 8 players from Cronulla's Top 25 full time squad.
Cabramatta will still retain its ties with the Parramatta Eels, and the Eels will still have first preference when selecting juniors for Development or Junior Representative teams. The partnership however, will offers young players playing for Cabramatta a direct link through to first grade should they be overlooked by the Eels and access to one of the greatest coaches in the NRL in Ricky Stuart.
Stay tuned for more details on this partnership..

"That Sucks..Cronulla should get first Preference..since when did parra give a Sh*t about Cabra..they treat us like second class citizens..& are more Interested in what goes on at Wentworthville maggies.

I dont have a problem with it. Need to be a bit realistic. Its about the areas. Seriously, what do the sharks have in common with Cabramatta and the Parra district. Why should a Parramatta junior club give first preference to supply juniors to a rival club. I dont think the sharks could expect much more. And for us its all about one thing...saving money.

I dont know either, but I'm pretty sure it was discussed when Sludge was CEO but they went with Newtown instead and got their hands burnt.

so are you happy with the arrangement, you didn't seem to happy withy it last week and they've only signed a 12 month contract too...not onlyn should we still have first dabbs but we should immidiately ban our junior rep sides from playing at Cabra and we should play at Ringrose or Guidford oval.

What does it matter who gets first pick at the parra juniors at the end of the day any club can offer them at contract and off they go.
Sharks will probaly have more parra juniors playing this year than parra

Basically it shows little faith in your own development, and typical of Ricky Stuart, as a coach he doesn't do development.

At the rorters they just paid overs to attract Penrith juniors, I think the question should be asked, what is wrong with developing a side of your own, just a question

sorry, to add to my point, we hear all the time about Shire juniors etc etc, and at the momewnt you are reducing development staff and going outside the district, seems short sighted, but then as you say... just keep taking other sides juniors that have developed, feel a bit sorry for your own guys

Just to add to my point, we hear a lot about shire juniors, but this shows how short soghted the developmenty is. Currently there appears to be a reduction in development staff and you are prepared to do nothing for your own juniors.

As you say, you can just continue to sign players devekoped by others, shortsighted and no encouragement to your own district, but carry on, you can take over from the Rorters at this rate
