I thought he was good! He was nothing extraordinary, but solid, and hit like a train in defence - FUNNILY ENOUGH, EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED!

Is that the only game he played well in? Cause I thought Cayless and Heckenberg was the reason the defense was tightened.

I cant think of any games Crouch had made an impact.

And isn't that what some people criticised - that some players weren't giving it a go?

If Hex could improve that drastically over a season, I am sure Rufus could have too, over time.

I think the Heckenberg scenario is a different story altogether.....hekenberg always looked good running the ball up but?? his one on one defence was sus & his ball security was a problem when the pressure was on him!!

Crouch has been around for a while......and really isn't a any different player to what he was at Parra 5 years ago!!

I don't exactly think Hex ran the ball too well before finding form. He never got over the advantage line and always got dumped on his arse.

But then he found EXCELLENT form.

I would have LOVED for him to have stayed here, but it wasn't meant to be.

Crouch had good defence and OK attack. But like someone said - we signed him for depth. He was never meant to replace either Hindmarsh.
