After a loss like that is when the team most needs people to turn up to try to get behind them, not just turn their back on them.

That is a nice sentiment Wells, and I agree with you. However....I think most Warriors fans on this board have simply had a guts full of mediocre performance and a lack of heart on the players behalf. Hence their negative comments.

After a loss like...

A loss sure, the trouble is it as been 9 losses now.

Everyone here knows that on paper this team is nowhere near that incompetent. Its hard to get behind a team that is poorly coached, poorly selected and with a few young twits that need a clip around the ear.

These problems *can be fixed* and that's what is most annoying for us, its early days still but it looks like they've learnt nothing in the off season.

I'm also a Hurricanes fan, those of us who are Warriors and Hurricanes fans do it the toughest of everyone

Then you add the Cricket to the mix...

9 losses in a row = all the more reason that they need fan support. Understandably not everyone shares that sentiment, but that's my approach. To me I'd rather make sure I get to the game when the team most needs fans there to cheer them on, sure it all ultimately falls on the shoulders of the guys on the field, but they're going to be much more likely to lift for 30k at Eden Park than they are for 10.

Look how they played in front of that raucous Dunedin crowd, they were interested, they were intense, maybe the crowd was part of it. They looked a completely different group from what we saw in 2012/round 1.

You know I was talking to a couple of mates in Sydney the other day and they were all excited about the start of the season. "Don't you love March"i.e. you never know how your team will go and maybe they'll improve next year and all this.

The warriors were so bad last year, that I can't see how they can improve at all. I was dreading the start, but still hoping. ANd then that Para game.

2011 grand finalists to mud in 2012 and no hope of improvment in 2013....well thats how I've been thinking. I still watch every match, except any involving Money Bill. But god its hard work when they just play so bad. The basic defensive errors and lack of attacking flair! Yes, I've said it. They are DULL.

Come this weekend we'll know a little more about the Warriors. I was hoping we'd finish bottom on the top 8, now I'm worried we'll finish bottom of the table

Eden Park crowds:

2011 - 38,405

2012 - 37,502

2013 - 32,740

I guess over 30k is good, and definitely more than they'd get at Mt Smart, but it still doesn't feel like home.
