Does any one know the crowd for the Rabbitohs game as it looked as if no one turned up on the TV.

Would be a pity if not many of their fans saw their win.

Melbourne are hardly a draw team, are they.

Sporting Capital, my arse...they should have fans everywhere.

Cheers,
Ben S.

It's been Well Established that Melbourne is the AFL capital of the World, and Australia's true gay capital. That's why they Don't have a S12 franchise, their league team draws jack sh*t and they've been a graveyard for NSL and NBL clubs. The Shorts simply aren't skimpy enough.

Eeerm, no. The goy capital of Australia is well and truly in Roosters territory, just take a stroll along Oxford St on any night of the week to prove that point.

That was Gary Freeman.

I swear this guy is one of the most biased commentators in rugby league. The funny thing is though, he seems to be biased towards a new team each week! I have a feeling Mr Freeman visits the mobile TAB on the way in to each game. ;-)

Here's the Proof anyway. Move over Darls, Melbourne is the scrumptiously gay capital of Australia!

Melbourne Australia's new Gay capital

News Limited has unfortunately archived the story.

hmm, do not blanket us all with the ignorant comment, by no means am i a season ticket holder for 10 years ashamed for the bandwagoners someone brilliantly put it earlier. souths loyal know these fans, we welcome them to the games as it is in the best interests of the club. it would be insane to ridicule them or turn them away.

the best illustration of this was the appeal when 1000's turned up from now where when the theatre of stars was jumping behind us and then cried crocodile tears as they put it when we were readmitted to the nrl. the mass have all but gone.....how many life long fans will return and claim joe williams as their own ? look to the papers tomorrow and all of next week.

in closing, yes the crowd is embarassing, it happens all too often but such is human nature where most back the winner or the team in the headlines doing good things.....we suffer with inept performances on and off the field. an excuse ? no. just fact.

Tongue in Cheek, Tongue in Cheek.

He it worked with Kappa and the Swans, and now that Melbourne is the undisputed gay capital of Oz, why wouldn't it work for the Storm

Before people start bagging Melbourne ask yourself this.

How much money and resources do you think the NRL used to promote this game?

How much work is the NRL and ARL doing to promote the game at any level in Victoria?

How much help do the Storm get?

Im not surprised by the Storms small crowds.

If the Roosters didnt get the massive promotion they did in Sydney....I bet money their crowds would be smaller then the Storms.

It is sad ro see such a small crowd at Souths games. So many people marched for them to get back into the competition and now they are hurting their club again by not turning up to games.

I hope they can somehow find a way to increase their crowds othr than just winning football matches or they be forced to move due to financial pressures.

Souths numbers will pick up WHEN they start to win a few games ----

the cost of going to c the footy is bad enuff, but when your side only wins occassionly --- and its winter --- i can excuse that.

Souths really do have a huge following, they need to string a side together which as far as i can c is not going to happen again this year ---
