Raises an interesting point though. In SL the easter program involves 2 games in a short turnaround and its generally a well attended period, although the derbies on good friday help that. Could the NRL do something similar and make a huge event of it, footy feast or something along those lines? Probably kick up a fuss amoung the players

Was expecting 10-11k so a better than expected crowd at Canberra.

Next week...Rabbitohs vs Bulldogs expecting 30k plus anything above 35k and I will extremely happy. A big factor to this crowd is the fact there will be another Sydney game later in the evening. Hopefully there will be 18k plus at that game.

I think over the next few weeks we will catch up to last years figure.

07-09 figures drop alarmingly towards the middle of the season, so we shouldn't have any problem beating them by years end.

Yes the 2nd and 3rd worst on that list became the record and 2nd year in the end. Many are predicting 150k next week - if that happens the aggregate will be within 6k of last year.

This should be the norm, it is in Perth, melb and bris for sports events.
