News reports saying 50,000 is expected tonight. Get that up ya Haynetrain.

Prediction:
Souths will deliver 50,000
Parra will get 33k

And the idiots who expect we'll only get 35k. So you're expecting just a combined 17000 members to show up and no walk ups? Lol. It'll be 50k and you'll all look stupid

I agree. Me thinks they took last years crowd for granted and have panicked when presales have not lived up to expectation. I suspect it Will still be 30-35k but Easter Monday will draw higher on the back of rejuvenated eels and Wests fan bases

Also keep in mind that last year this was "the return of the Ben Barba" game. I think we're forgetting that this in itself sparked a lot of interest and got a lot of people from both clubs off the couch and into the stadium.

I'm pretty confident of a big walk up... Beautiful day, perfect time for the game (allows people to go church first)... Biggest day for the Eastershow!!

There is no way in hell we get 33k......................do the maths...add the 13k Parra members and ANZ members and take into account the 4 days left to sell tickets.....................Parra the wooden spooners are going to outdraw the self proclaimed largest clubs in Sydney....:D:D

Lol at telling me to do the maths. And the anti-Souths trolls think there will less be than 17000 Souths members AND dogs members AND walkups.

18k Pax
15k Souths members
10k Dogs members
10k walkups

Eels might get in the low 40s but we'll get into the 50s

Dreaming on a Friday afternoon/night. I know it is not a normal Friday but still. Dreadful timeslot to be fair to both clubs. 35-36K is a success.

You're an idiot. Same fixture drew in 51k last year.

Fine day in Sydney mate???? Souths have won two on the trot and the dogs 3 no reason this shouldn't go close to last years crowd. And if Parra/Tigers can crack 40k can't we be just happy we've had two outstanding crowds to shut that beetroot headed spanker Buzz up for a couple of weeks???

Wow locky. Easter Friday 4pm at ANZ is a bad timeslot? It's possibly the best fixture for crowds all year because of the Easter show.

As I said earlier in the week, it would have been awesome if the media built up a crowd challenge between the games. Much like what is happening here.

If the Parramatta v Wests Tigers match can attract 50,000 it will be absolutely sensational for the code.

Also they if can attract such a big crowd to the match it would be fair to say that the Eels can expect to have sell out matches this season against other Sydney based clubs at the much smaller capacity Parramatta Stadium.

The two ANZ Stadium matches have got all the talk, however there should also be a healthy crowd in Newcastle tonight.

So much for troll free threads.

Why are people here so quick to label people trolls when there is a debate that doesn't agree with them?

Bunniesman and Haynetrain are simply having a good debate/disagreement. I'm about to go to the game this avo but by the same token I would be very happy to see 60,000 at the Eels/Tigers game & really couldn't care less if it does beat today's crowd.

We are after all supporting the same game & if 50,000-60,000 people do turn up on Monday what does that tell you going into the future of the game?

Large stadium, 2 large supporter bases, most importantly TICKETS at VERY reasonable prices for families, nice family friendly 4pm afternoon time slot.

Perhaps more discounts in the future at large stadiums for games such as this??? We all benefit from this regardless of who we support.
